Say It With Courage. Say It With Care.

The Angeles University Foundation (AUF) Office of Alumni Affairs and Placement Services in cooperation with College of Allied Medical Professions and Physical Therapy Department successfully held an interactive seminar-workshop on October 9, 2026, at St. Cecilia’s Auditorium, bringing together faculty, non-teaching personnel, and students to explore the art of meaningful and respectful communication.

The session was facilitated by AUF alumnus Mr. Jericho M. Ayson, PT, MPH, Director of Clinical Operations and Clinical Education at BAYADA Home Health Care, Hawaii, USA, and recipient of the 2022 Most Outstanding Alumni Award.

Through engaging activities, reflection, and guided exercises, participants gained practical insights into giving and receiving feedback, navigating difficult conversations, setting boundaries, resolving misunderstandings, and building trust.

Anchored in the Filipino values of hiya, pakikisama, and pakikiramdam, the workshop emphasized that maintaining harmony does not mean avoiding difficult conversations. Instead, these values can guide us in communicating with honesty, empathy, and respect.

At the heart of the program is “Tapang at Malasakit” — the courage to speak up and the care to listen. By embracing both, we can foster stronger relationships, healthier workplaces, and more compassionate communities.

Angeles University Foundation (AUF) conducted the Standard First Aid Management and Basic Life Support Training on October 8, 2026, at the AUF Sports and Cultural Center (SCC), in partnership with the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO).

The training provided participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in first aid, basic life support, and emergency response. Through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants gained a better understanding of the appropriate actions to take during medical emergencies.

AUF extends its sincere appreciation to the ACDRRMO resource speakers and trainers for sharing their expertise, as well as to all participants for their active involvement and support.

This activity is part of the University’s continuing efforts to promote a safe campus environment and strengthen the preparedness of its community members in responding to emergencies.

The Angeles University Foundation community mourns the passing of Maria Luisa D. Galang (1967–2026), College/Clinical Instructor and Level 4 Coordinator of the AUF College of Nursing.

Known to her students and colleagues as Ma’am Lou, she spent her years at AUF forming nurses — in classrooms, in clinical rotations, and in the quiet guidance she gave to students who needed it most.

We extend our deepest sympathies to her family, friends, and the entire College of Nursing.

Rest in peace, Ma’am Lou.

Angeles University Foundation joins the Angeles City community in celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, La Naval de Angeles.

For generations, the devotion to Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary has remained deeply rooted in the faith and heritage of the Angeleños. As the community gathers in prayer and celebration, may this enduring devotion continue to draw us closer to Mary and to her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

O Blessed Mother, under your maternal protection, guide us in faith and inspire us to be instruments of peace in our homes and community.
