For Carlo Jerome Pulanco, the journey into Psychology was not just an academic pursuit, it was a gradual transformation that reshaped his perspective on life and the world around him. What began as a step-by-step realization eventually became a lifelong commitment to understanding human behavior and inspiring others to do the same.

He completed his Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2019 and successfully passed the Psychometrician Licensure Examination. These milestones marked the beginning of a meaningful career dedicated to education and service.

During his college years, he immersed himself in both academic and personal growth, embracing the challenges and discoveries that came with studying Psychology. These experiences not only strengthened his knowledge but also shaped his values, discipline, and sense of purpose, laying the foundation for the path he would pursue after graduation.

Today, he serves as a full-time Instructor IV at the National Teachers College, where he teaches Psychology subjects. He also shares his expertise as a part-time Instructor I at National University - Clark, handling Social Sciences courses.

Beyond the classroom, he remains actively engaged in advocacies that reflect his values and principles. He is a member of the Student Christian Movement of the Philippines, a human rights and national democratic movement organization, as well as Amnesty International Philippines, a non-government organization that champions human rights. His involvement in these groups highlights his commitment to social awareness and civic responsibility.

Driven by his passion for continuous learning, Carlo is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology.

Through his academic achievements, professional endeavors, and advocacy work, he continues to exemplify how education, when paired with purpose, can truly expand one’s horizons and create meaningful impact.

Reflecting on his journey, Carlo shares a message to students, “Find your inner passion by putting into heart the words and lessons of your professors and peers in college. It will help you a lot once you step into the next chapter of your life.”

From Karate-do to the world of technology, Jonathan Pineda Santos has always dreamed of becoming a tech expert. His curiosity and interest in computers inspired him to pursue a career in the field and turn his passion into a profession.

He completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2017 at Holy Angel University.

During his college years, he faced the challenge of balancing academics with rigorous early-morning training sessions. As a Karate-do varsity athlete, he received 100% a non-academic scholarship who proudly represented Holy Angel University and Region III in various tournaments and competitions.

Reflecting on that period, he shared that the University recognized not only his struggles but also those of every student striving to overcome challenges and bring pride to the school. “I was blessed with a 100 percent scholarship as a Karate-do varsity athlete, which included tournament and food allowances until I graduated,” he said.

Today, he works as a Script Developer, Systems Support Administrator, Marketing Support at Astris PME and APEX Mobility. In his role, he specializes in creating custom order forms using JavaScript embedded in PDFs, which are utilized across Australia. His work focuses on optimizing processes through efficient script-based order forms.

Beyond his professional career, he continues to support the sport that shaped his discipline and perseverance. Over the years, he has been actively contributing to the NewGen Achievers Karate-do Club, founded by his cousin, also a former Angelite and a karate coach at the University.

Reflecting on his journey, he offered this advice to students, “Your struggles do not make you weak; they are shaping you into someone resilient. Do not be afraid to fail. Be afraid of not trying, because every setback is a setup for a comeback.”

He earned his Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health in 2015 and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers the same year.

Demonstrating his strong commitment to professional growth, he completed his Master of Arts in Physical Education and Sports in 2022 at HAU.

He later served as Councilor for Performing Arts of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASEd) in 2013, and in 2014, he was appointed Senator of the University Student Council (USC).

He is also the Head of University Research Journal Publications at the Research and Innovation Office (RIO) and an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of the same institution.

Beyond his institutional responsibilities, he regularly delivers lectures and training sessions on research in Physical Education and Sports Education in various state universities, colleges, and private higher education institutions nationwide.

In 2025, he earned his Doctor of Education in Physical Education from Filamer Christian University, further strengthening his academic and professional credentials.

He holds key leadership roles in several national organizations: Chairman of the National Association for Physical Education and Sports Science of the Philippines, Inc. (NAPESS-PH); Vice Chairman of the Philippine Association of Researchers in Physical Education and Human Movement (PARPEHM); and Vice President for Luzon of the Culture, Arts and Design Association of the Philippines, Inc. Creative from a young age, Ar. Adrian Roi Pamintuan always had a heart for the arts. His passion was ignited in high school when a teacher once told him, “If you want to be remembered, become an author.” Taking this to heart, he aspired to be remembered through the designs he creates.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2020 and was an active member and officer of the United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (UAPSA) – HAU Chapter, serving as Commissioner on Internal Affairs during School Year 2017–2018.

Beyond academics, he also contributed to campus life as a staff member of The Solution, the official student publication of the School of Engineering and Architecture, where he held the positions of Literary Editor and Senior Layout Artist.

With strong training and exposure, Adrian ventured abroad shortly after graduation. “With HAU’s great Architecture Curriculum, Professional Exposure, and Career Readiness, I was ready and took my first job abroad and became an Overseas Filipino Worker as a fresh graduate, becoming a designer that is internationally competitive,” he shared.

A few months after graduating, he joined That’s Living Qatar in Doha as a Junior Architect, Furniture Designer, and Visual Merchandiser. His dedication paid off when he passed the Special Professional Licensure Examination for Architects in Doha in June 2023.

Today, Adrian is a Sales Designer at Focus Global Inc. in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, where he brings his clients’ visions to life by creating homes that reflect their unique tastes and lifestyles.

Reflecting on his journey, he extended this advice to students, “Although things may not always work out the way you want them to, be patient and take your time. Be present and enjoy every experience as it unfolds before you. These experiences will help shape you both as a person and as a professional.”
