𝐊𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐆 𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐘 𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈 𝐓𝐀𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐊

May mga araw sa kasaysayan na hindi natatapos sa petsa sa kalendaryo. Isa rito ang Setyembre 21—paalala ng Martial Law, ng pagsupil sa malayang pamamahayag, demokratikong kalayaan, at karapatang pantao. Makalipas ang 54 na taon, ang paggunita ay hindi lamang paglingon sa nakaraan. Ito ay pagprotekta sa katotohanan laban sa paglimot at pagbaluktot ng kasaysayan. Dahil ang kasaysayang nakakalimutan ay kasaysayang mas madaling ulitin.

Sa pamantasan, buhay ang ganitong paninindigan. Nariyan ang student journalist na nagsusulat, organisasyong kumukuwestiyon, at estudyanteng humihingi ng paliwanag at pananagutan. Ang student voice, malayang pamamahayag, karapatang mag-organisa, at mapayapang pagpapahayag ay hindi istorbo sa edukasyon—bahagi sila ng isang demokratikong pamantasan. Sa mga usaping direktang nakaaapekto sa kabataan, may karapatan tayong magtanong, Sino ang makikinabang? Sino ang maaapektuhan? At sino ang mananagot?

Kaya ang ML54 ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pag-alala. Tungkol ito sa pagpiling huwag masanay sa pananahimik. Hindi natin mababago ang nakaraan, ngunit maaari nating panindigan ang mga aral nito sa kasalukuyan. Magtanong. Magsuri. Makialam. Manindigan. With the graceful hosting of 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝘂𝗮 and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲, the University of Rizal System–Antipolo Campus officially recognized its new slate of student leaders through an oath-taking ceremony anchored on the theme, “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀: 𝗔𝗻 𝗢𝗮𝘁𝗵-𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆,” held on September 17 at the URSAC Covered Court. The event gathered 28 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, joined by their respective advisers. They pledged to serve the student body with dignity, purpose, and excellence.

The welcome greeting and inspirational message were delivered by the Head of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗜𝗺𝗲𝗲 𝗘. 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀, and the Campus Director, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗼 𝗣. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶ñ𝗼. On the other hand, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗥𝗲𝘅 𝗢. 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 delivered the opening remarks, formally commencing the program.

The ceremony was highlighted by the presence of 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗥. 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗼 𝗝𝗿., who served as the guest speaker and administered the oath of office to the newly elected and appointed leaders. The program was further enlivened by special performances from 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗔𝗖 and the 𝗛𝗶𝘆𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗲, whose presentations showcased the talent and culture of the URSAC community.

𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀, President of the University Supreme Student Government, closed this defining moment for every student leader with a powerful message emphasizing the significance of the event in fostering a safe and harmonious learning environment for all students on campus.

More than a formal rite, the ceremony symbolized collective and shared responsibility. As they take on their roles, the new student leaders are expected to be the voice of their fellow students, ready to serve the vulnerable and lead with courage and integrity.

Led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘇 and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 as hosts, attendees left the venue enriched with knowledge and meaningful insights from resource persons, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗦.𝗝. 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗮 and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗥. 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗮. Speakers encourage students to participate in interactive activities designed to reduce stress and foster comfort, as well as shared practical, effective strategies for coping with mental health-related challenges.

The program also featured Fierce Group facilitators' President 𝗠𝘀. 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗦𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗮, who presented the Organization's core objectives, with a strong focus on protecting the welfare and mental well-being of the students, especially amid the rising number of school incidents linked to mental-health issues in recent months.

Nurse 𝗝𝗼𝘆𝗰𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻 delivered the last words, reassuring that the Campus Medical Health Unit stands ready to not just treat students' physical injuries, but also to support those experiencing mental health struggles across the campus. As we must always remember, mental heath is as important as physical health, so include that, at all times.

This September 17, 2026, we gather for an oath-taking ceremony that marks a new chapter of 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, and 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

As we take the oath, we recognize the trust entrusted to us and the responsibility that comes with it—to lead with 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, act with 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲, and remain committed to the people we are called to serve.

For leadership is not defined by one individual. It is strengthened by people who come together, share a vision, and choose to serve with conviction.

The University Supreme Student Government of URS- Antipolo Campus warmly congratulates our promising education students for placing 𝗧𝗢𝗣 3, with the help and mentorship of 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳.
