ARTECHE, EASTERN SAMAR — Eastern Samar State University–Arteche Campus (ESSU-Arteche) academic and student leaders attended the inauguration of the Arteche E-Library on September 17, 2026, at the Arteche Public Terminal, joining a community initiative aimed at expanding access to digital learning resources.
Associate Dean Ma’am Justine R. Gade, together with presidents of various student organizations of ESSU-Arteche, represented the campus during the opening ceremony. Their presence highlighted the university’s connection to initiatives that support students’ educational and digital needs.
The newly opened E-Library is set to provide students and young people with access to computers, internet connectivity, free printing, and other digital resources. These services are intended to assist learners with research, online learning, school requirements, and other academic activities.
The project is part of the municipality’s Arteche Loves U 10-Point Agenda, particularly the E-Education Center and Smart Municipality initiatives.
The facility also received five laptops donated by Ibiden, facilitated through the Dualtech Training Center Foundation, providing additional equipment for students who need access to digital technology.
The inauguration brought together Municipal Mayor Susan Evardone, Vice Mayor Roland Boie Evardone, representatives from Ibiden, Dualtech Training Center Foundation, TESDA, and ESSU-ARTECHE, as well as students from Arteche National High School, youth representatives, and SK Chairpersons.
For ESSU-Arteche, the event provided an opportunity for its academic and student leaders to engage with a community-based educational initiative that directly benefits learners. The availability of free internet and printing services may also help students accomplish academic requirements while reducing some of the costs associated with digital learning.
The opening of the E-Library adds another learning space for students in Arteche, strengthening access to technology and educational resources within the community.
