Welcome, Ka-Don Mariano!

Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University โ€“ North La Union Campus reminds all new and continuing students to prepare for the enrolment period by reviewing the posted advisory and securing the necessary documents ahead of time.

New students (freshmen and transferees) and irregular students are advised to bring the required original documents and photocopies, while continuing students shall process their enrolment through the Dโ€™Hive Student Portal.

Please observe the proper dress code and follow campus reminders to help ensure a smooth and orderly enrollment experience.

Apl.de.Ap announced that Cagayan Valley will be the next site for his agroforestry initiative, as part of his larger environmental mission in the Philippines.

In celebration of the International Day of Forests 2026, the Eco-Vanguard Allied Organization of the DMMMSU College of Agroforestry and Forestry successfully organized a webinar on March 24, 2026, with the theme โ€œForests and Economies.โ€ The initiative aimed to highlight the critical role of forests in promoting economic resilience, sustaining livelihoods, and preserving ecological integrity.

The webinar featured distinguished resource speakers from Isabela State University and Pampanga State Agricultural University, who delivered insightful lectures on โ€œMedicinal Plants in the Philippines: Conservation Status and Effortsโ€ and โ€œForest Conservation and Community Participation.โ€ These discussions provided valuable perspectives on biodiversity conservation and the importance of community engagement in sustainable forest management.

The activity gathered participants from various academic institutions and government agencies nationwide, including Mindanao State University-Maguindanao, North Eastern Mindanao State University, University of Abra, Surigao del Norte State University, DENR Bataan, and DMMMSU, among others. The broad participation reflected a shared commitment to advancing environmental awareness and strengthening collaborative efforts toward forest conservation and sustainable development.

In celebration of the International Day of Forests 2026, the Eco-Vanguard Allied Organization of the DMMMSU-College of Agroforestry and Forestry, in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region 1, successfully conducted a seminar with the theme โ€œForests and Economiesโ€ on March 24, 2026, at the International Convention Center.

The activity highlighted the essential role of forests in economic development, livelihood sustainability, and ecological balance, featuring expert-led discussions on forest law enforcement, occupancy rights, production forest management, and protected area governance.

Atty. Ronnel C. Sopsop, OICโ€“Regional Executive Director of DENR Region 1, emphasized that protecting forests and watersheds is essential to securing the future, as economic growth is closely linked to the health of forest ecosystems. Meanwhile, Prof. Lilito D. Gavina, DMMMSU Vice President for Administration and Finance, reinforced the importance of environmental stewardship and collective action.

The seminar served as a platform to strengthen awareness, promote collaboration, and reinforce a shared commitment to sustainable forest management and environmental stewardship for future generations. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š
