Grateful for the opportunity to meet Senator Bam Aquino in a meaningful gathering with fellow student leaders. It was our first time meeting him β€” and having the chance to sit just behind him, to truly listen and reflect, made the experience even more memorable.

The conversation was not about politics, but about life. About embracing its twists and turns with courage. He reminded us that the first time is always the hardest β€” no matter what corporate field or path we choose to take. Yet, every single step forward, even the uncertain ones, leads us closer to the places and dreams we once only imagined.

What resonated most was his reminder to always go back to the basics β€” to remain grounded and to continually look back to the community that shaped us. Leadership, after all, is not about titles, but about service and remembering where you started.

We are deeply thankful for this opportunity made possible through the invitation of one of Bacolod City’s prominent youth leaders, Ken Paolo Gilo.

Indeed, first times may be daunting β€” but they are often the beginnings of something greater.

In celebration of University Week 2026, STI West Negros University proudly presents Mr. and Ms. Galaxy 2026, a pageant featuring our esteemed Staff and Faculty Members. This event highlights confidence, poise, and unity as we honor the individuals who continuously contribute to the growth and excellence of our academic community.

As part of the celebration, the People’s Choice Award will be conferred upon the candidates who receive the highest number of valid Facebook reactions on their official photos posted on this page. Members of the university community are encouraged to participate by showing their support through fair and responsible online voting.
