April 15, 2026 โ€“ The STI West Negros University College of Engineering held its general meeting for the 2nd semester, led by the COE Dean, Dr. Felicidad N. Altalaguire, together with Assistant Dean, Engr. Cyrus Bigcas. Also present were the Program Heads, representatives from the student chapters PICE, IIEE, and JPSME, as well as members of the Engineering Student Council (ESC).

The meeting took place at the Program Heads Office at 3:00 PM. The agenda focused on upcoming events for the semester and other important matters concerning the college. The assembly served as an avenue for departments to raise concerns and discuss issues related to student welfare.

This initiative aims to strengthen communication between the administration and the student body, ensuring a more collaborative and productive academic environment.

February 13, 2026โ€” Handumanan National High School (HNHS) STEM students marked the culmination of their immersion program at the College of Engineering of STI West Negros University.

In the morning, the students were given a tour of the engineering building, exploring the various facilities utilized by the department. In the afternoon, their five-day immersion program drew to a close. Dr. Felicidad N. Altalaguire, Dean of the College of Engineering, along with Engr. Marlon G. Rojo, IIEE Program Head, expressed their gratitude and extended their best wishes to the students.

This five-day immersion experience successfully bridged the gap between theoretical concepts and practical application, providing the HNHS students with a valuable glimpse into the world of engineering.

February 12, 2026โ€” Handumanan National High School (HNHS) STEM students embarked on an immersive electrical work experience at the College of Engineering of STI West Negros University.

For their fourth day of immersion, students delved into theoretical concepts such as Machine Law, Series and Parallel circuits, and Ohm's Law. Under the expert guidance of Engr. Marlon G. Rojo, IIEE Program Head, and his officers, the students also engaged in practical exercises, including reading resistors and constructing functional light circuits.

This hands-on approach allowed the students to bridge the gap between theory and application, providing invaluable insights into the field of electrical engineering.

In celebration of University Week 2026, STI West Negros University proudly presents Mr. and Ms. Galaxy 2026, a pageant featuring our esteemed Staff and Faculty Members. This event highlights confidence, poise, and unity as we honor the individuals who continuously contribute to the growth and excellence of our academic community.

As part of the celebration, the Peopleโ€™s Choice Award will be conferred upon the candidates who receive the highest number of valid Facebook reactions on their official photos posted on this page. Members of the university community are encouraged to participate by showing their support through fair and responsible online voting.

The voting period starts today and will officially close on February 12, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
