Opening Doors Beyond Horizons

As part of the meaningful journey of Huling Hayaw sa Tag-Araw, the Upsilonian students were inspired and empowered through a heartfelt session shared by Sis Reb Tuvilla, one of the proud Alumna of the Talisay City Executive Council and representative of Fil-Global Bacolod City.

With passion and sincerity, Sis Reb opened the minds of the students to the countless opportunities waiting beyond the borders of their comfort zones — reminding everyone that dreams are not limited locally, but can also reach greater heights abroad through courage, determination, and preparation.

Her story and words became a beacon of hope to many young Upsilonians who continue to strive despite life’s uncertainties and struggles. She reminded everyone that success does not happen overnight, but through faith, perseverance, hard work, and the willingness to take opportunities when they come.

The Council and the entire Upsilon Phi Sigma family would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to Fil-Global Founder, Brod Bertch Ian N. We didn’t just create memories — we strengthened our bond, brotherhood, sisterhood, and love for one another.

Huling Hayaw sa Tag-araw

As the second day of our Huling Hayaw sa Tag-Araw, the Upsilonian Students gathered for a meaningful and heartfelt Reflection & Recollection session facilitated by our Spiritual Adviser, UPS Jude Garceniego.

It was not just an ordinary morning — it was a moment of silence, realization, healing, and rediscovery. A morning filled with emotions that touched every heart, reminding each participant about the true meaning of being a Son of God, a member of a loving family, and part of the ever-growing Upsilonian Family.

Through different reflective activities, everyone was given the chance to pause from the noise of life and look deeply within themselves. Tears were shed, hearts were opened, and souls were awakened as we reflected on the unconditional love of God, the importance of loving ourselves despite our flaws and struggles, and the value of extending love and understanding to others.

The session emphasized that amidst every hardship, failure, disappointment, and challenge we encounter, there is always a reason to be thankful — thankful to God for His endless guidance, thankful to ourselves for surviving battles nobody sees, and thankful for the people who continue to stay beside us through every season of life.

The activities became more than just exercises; they became journeys of self-discovery, forgiveness, gratitude, and brotherhood & sisterhood. Every reflection reminded us that before we become leaders, students, or members of an organization, we are first called to become compassionate human beings with faith, humility, and love in our hearts.

To end the recollection, everyone shared a simple meal lovingly prepared and shared by our spiritual family — a beautiful reminder that the best moments in life are not measured by luxury, but by the genuine connection, laughter, understanding, and love we share with one another.

Indeed, this day became one of the most unforgettable moments of “Huling Hayaw sa Tag-Araw” — a day where hearts were renewed, faith was strengthened, and bonds became deeper.

The Brgy. 3 Council of Kabankalan City is inviting us to participate in their Blood Letting Activity on May 14, 2026 | 8:30 AM at the Peoples Hall of Brgy. 3, Kabankalan City.

In this regard, we are humbly encouraging our fellow UPSILONIANS to support this noble cause. Aside from helping save lives, blood donors may also avail donor cards that could help in times of emergency.

This is one simple yet meaningful way of showing our love, compassion, and service to humanity.
