โThere came a time when I looked around at the life I had built โ the roles I played, the routines I followed, the expectations I met โ and realized I no longer recognized myself in any of it.
โ
โAt one point, all of it made sense. I had followed the rules, climbed the ladders, checked the boxes. From the outside, things looked steady. Predictable. Safe. But something inside me had gone quiet โ not broken, justโฆ still. Numb. Like a room with the lights off.
โ
โI used to define myself by what I did. My title. My responsibilities. My ability to meet other peopleโs needs before my own. And I wore that like armor โ until it became too heavy to carry.
โ
โThat was the moment I knew something had to shift. Not suddenly. Not dramatically. But intentionally.
โ
โI began to ask myself questions I had once been too busy โ or too afraid โ to ask:
โ
โWhat do I actually want? Who am I when no one is watching? What have I outgrown, and what am I growing toward?
โ
โAt first, the answers didnโt come easily. I felt lost. Untethered. Like I was standing in the middle of a life that no longer fit, but unsure of where to go next. But over time, that discomfort became a kind of fuel. I gave myself permission to explore โ not for productivity, but for rediscovery. I learned to say no to things that are no longer aligned, and yes to things that scared me in the best way.
โ
โI stopped asking, โWhat should I be doing?โ
โ
โAnd started asking, โWhat feels true to me now?โ
โ
โI repurposed myself โ not by throwing everything away, but by reimagining how my experiences, my values, and my voice could take a new shape. I realized Iโm not a fixed thing. Iโm a living process. A work in progress. And thatโs not something to be ashamed of โ itโs something to celebrate.
โ
โToday, I still donโt have all the answers. But Iโm more at home in myself than Iโve ever been. I know now that purpose isnโt a destination โ itโs a direction. And every time I choose whatโs real over whatโs expected, I come a little closer to it.
โ
โThis journey isnโt about becoming someone else.
โ
โItโs about returning to who Iโve always been โ beneath the noise, the roles, and the fear.
โ
โAnd thatโs the most meaningful transformation of all.
