๐Ž๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ–, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” - Continuing our journey at the PAPSAS Midyear Interactive Youth Forum 2026 at Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City, the STI West Negros University Student Council Executive Officers engaged in a deeply transformative and action-packed Day 2 centered on youth innovation, environmental stewardship, and sustainable development.

In Plenary Session 2, "Planet and Prosperity: Youth Innovation for Sustainable Development," speaker Ms. Mary Justine Lapating from the Community Engagement and Sustainable Development Office (CESDO) of Ateneo de Davao University challenged us to redefine how we view innovation. Innovation does not always require inventing something completely revolutionary; often, it is simply looking at an existing problem and asking if there is a better way to solve it. While we are inherently part of the challenges our society faces, we hold the power to be an active part of the solution.

To maximize our learning and impact, each USC Executive Officer was designated into different plenary sessions focusing on Planet, Prosperity, and People. Immersed in these specialized tracks, our officers engaged deeply with various frameworks and collaborated in hands-on workshops alongside student leaders from across the country. Meanwhile, USC President Donna Marie L. Alimpolo took on key leadership roles during the event, serving as a fireside chat panelist, lead facilitator, and judge for the national project pitching competition.

Rooted in these shared experiences, cross-school collaborations, and critical insights, our council remains steadfast in building enabling spaces and driving meaningful, sustainable progress for every student leader at STIWNU.

Standing alongside fellow student leaders representing more than 80 participating universities across the Philippines, our council joins a nationwide movement driven by dynamic leadership, unity, and shared purpose.

The opening day set an empowering benchmark for youth governance, beginning with welcoming remarks from Dr. Carlito Olner, President of PAPSAS Inc. Keynote Speaker Ms. Felicias Joji Pantoja reminded us of the indelible imprint every leader leaves through her 5-Finger Framework, emphasizing that true leadership encompasses people, peace, prosperity, partnership, and the planet.

In the plenary session on Bridging Leadership, Mr. John Ching stressed that leadership must transition from individual ownership to co-ownership and co-creation, emphasizing that a plan without a collective vision will always fail.
