A leader, a scholar, and a catalyst for innovation. ✨

Dr. Marisa B. Petalla is a distinguished educator, researcher, and academic leader specializing in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and research management. She currently serves as Director of the Research and Development Office and Program Chair of MAEd Programs at the University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos (UNO-Recoletos) Graduate School in Bacolod City.

She earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management and is completing her Doctor of Education in English Language Teaching, further strengthening her expertise in both leadership and language education.

Dr. Petalla has held various leadership roles, including principal, assistant principal, and subject area coordinator, contributing significantly to academic program development and quality assurance. She is also an active accreditor of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU).

A prolific researcher, she has numerous publications in Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed journals and has presented her work in international conferences across Asia. She also serves as a peer reviewer, technical editor, and research panelist in various academic platforms.

Committed to advancing research excellence, Dr. Petalla continues to promote innovation, scholarly productivity, and transformative education in the academic community.
