𝟱𝟰 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗗, 𝗬𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡

On September 21, 1972, Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. signed Proclamation No. 1081, placing the Philippines under Martial Law. Although the proclamation was publicly announced on September 23, September 21 has since been remembered as the date associated with its declaration.

The Martial Law period brought major changes to Philippine society and government. It was marked by the restriction of civil liberties, suppression of dissent, arrests and detentions, and documented human rights violations. Its effects continued to shape the country until the end of the Marcos regime in 1986.

Remembering this chapter of our history is not about living in the past. It is about recognizing the experiences of those who suffered, understanding the importance of human rights and democracy, and ensuring that history is not distorted or forgotten.

History must be remembered. Truth must be preserved. Human rights must be protected.

𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗞𝗢𝗗-𝗕𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: BPA Celebrates Its Newest Graduates

The Bachelor of Public Administration program is proud to announce the graduation of 41 senior students. The ceremony took place today, September 18, at the Dr. Ernesto T. Nicdao Sports Center.

This milestone reflects years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. It marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new journey as these graduates step into careers in public service and governance.

Throughout their time in the program, these students showed real commitment to public service, staying resilient, passionate, and engaged both in and out of the classroom.

We're grateful for everything this cohort brought to the BPA community. Their involvement in various projects and activities made a real difference and inspired fellow students to pursue excellence in public administration.

Congratulations to all 41 graduates. We wish you continued success, wisdom, and integrity as you move forward in your careers. This is a proud moment for the whole BPA community.

In view of the continuing effects of the prevailing weather conditions affecting various areas in the Province of Pampanga, many students continue to face challenges, particularly in attending face-to-face classes. Accordingly, Pampanga State University announces the implementation of the following class arrangements on September 9 to 11, 2026, across all campuses:

• All classes and academic activities shall shift to synchronous online learning.
• Onsite transactions for the Graduate School shall proceed as scheduled.
• For the School of Law, the mode of classes shall be determined at the discretion of the Dean.

Everyone is encouraged to continue monitoring official announcements and to prioritize their safety and well-being amid the prevailing weather conditions.

Furthermore, this advisory shall be superseded by any subsequent advisories issued by national or local government authorities.
For the information and guidance of everyone.

𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲-𝗶𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 | As we commemorate Orange-It Friday, we stand against Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) and reaffirm our commitment to protecting the rights, safety, and dignity of women and children. May the color orange remind us to speak up against violence, raise awareness, and foster a community where everyone is treated with respect and compassion.

As flooding continues to affect communities across our country, women and children can face greater challenges and vulnerabilities during times of disaster and displacement. In these difficult moments, let us remain vigilant, extend support to those in need, and help ensure that evacuation centers and communities remain safe spaces for everyone.

Let Orange-It Friday be more than a color we wear, it is a reminder to care, protect, and stand together, especially for those who need our support the most. In times of both violence and calamity, may we choose compassion, solidarity, and action.

As Lingkod-Bayan, may we help build a community where people feel safe to speak, seek help, and be heard without judgment. Let us be more attentive to those around us, extend compassion when it is needed, and remind one another that asking for help is not a sign of weakness, it is an act of courage.
