The Cornerstone, the official publication newsletter and newspaper of Cavite State University Bacoor City Campus was founded in January 2017. Campus Journalism course has encouraged the students to have an in-depth knowledge and useful application of all the forms of journalistic writing. The cornerstone is defined as a stone that forms a part of a corner in the outside wall of a building and that

often shows the date when the building was built (Merriam-Webster, 1828). โ€œThe Cornerstoneโ€ was chosen by the CvSU Bacoor Publication to symbolize as the foundation, which is strongly built on the truth. It shall serve as the protector of the freedom of the press to promote responsible and free journalism. Our oath is to strengthen ethical values and shape the moral character of the student body. Through delivering the truth, we can raise the awareness of every student, thus the fruitful enhancement of the critical and creative thinking skills. The official campus publication intends to publish news to inform the school body, to recognize the achievements and progress of the school community, and to better the interschool relationship. The awareness, which this publication will bring, encourages school cooperation and support by stimulating worthwhile activities for the students.

On April 8, 2026, Wednesday, aspiring artists and performers gathered for the much-anticipated ๐‚๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐€๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐…๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ (๐‚๐€๐…) ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” ๐€๐ฎ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ at ๐‚๐š๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ž ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐๐š๐œ๐จ๐จ๐ซ ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐‚๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฌ, showcasing passion, talent, and artistic excellence. A Man beaten and broken to the point of death, yet on the third day, He rose again. Today, we celebrate the ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป of ๐—๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜‚๐˜€ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜ following His crucifixion at the hands of the romans.

May we never forget what was given so freely, an immeasurable love that conquered the grave so that we could have eternal life.

On March 26, 2026, students, faculty, and staff of Cavite State University, Bacoor gathered at the Woodridge College 4th Floor Conference Hall for EMPOWERHER: Self-Defense and Safety Training for Women. This meaningful event celebrated Womenโ€™s Month.

The program focused on personal safety, situational awareness, and practical self-defense techniques. It aimed to empower participants to respond confidently in real-life situations.

The event officially started at 10:00 A.M. Mr. Jimmy M. Caltino, Head of Curriculum Instruction, delivered the opening remarks. The program was supported by the GAD Unit and included guided lectures and hands-on training led by self-defense instructors Sir Angel C. Almonte and Sir Joseph Nathan Ferriol.

In the afternoon session, attendees were divided into five groups. They performed a role play that demonstrated the basic self-defense techniques discussed during the training. The activity encouraged teamwork, participation, and the practical application of what participants learned throughout the session.

The program also announced the winners of the HERSTORY โ€“ Photography and Spoken Poetry Contest. This recognition highlighted the creativity and voices of women within the academic community.

EMPOWERHER: Self-Defense and Safety Training for Women successfully brought together members of the university for a day focused on safety, awareness, and empowerment. It inspired confidence, resilience, and unity among women.
