The Cornerstone, the official publication newsletter and newspaper of Cavite State University Bacoor City Campus was founded in January 2017. Campus Journalism course has encouraged the students to have an in-depth knowledge and useful application of all the forms of journalistic writing. The cornerstone is defined as a stone that forms a part of a corner in the outside wall of a building and that often shows the date when the building was built (Merriam-Webster, 1828). โ€œThe Cornerstoneโ€ was chosen by the CvSU Bacoor Publication to symbolize as the foundation, which is strongly built on the truth. It shall serve as the protector of the freedom of the press to promote responsible and free journalism. Our oath is to strengthen ethical values and shape the moral character of the student body. Through delivering the truth, we can raise the awareness of every student, thus the fruitful enhancement of the critical and creative thinking skills. The official campus publication intends to publish news to inform the school body, to recognize the achievements and progress of the school community, and to better the interschool relationship. The awareness, which this publication will bring, encourages school cooperation and support by stimulating worthwhile activities for the students.

On October 17, 2026, fourth-year pre-service teachers under the Department of Teachers Education, majoring in Mathematics and English, held their pinning ceremony at Cavite State University-Bacoor City campus, Gymnasium.

A total of 77 students, with 46 from English and 31 from Mathematics were pinned during the ceremony, marking a new milestone as their journey toward becoming a teacher draws nearer. This event symbolizes their commitment to taking another step that signifies their readiness in the field of education.

The event was also attended by guest speakers and faculty members who shared their experience on what it is like to be a teacher, leaving them quotes they can use throughout their journey. ๐‚๐€๐Œ๐๐”๐’ ๐๐„๐–๐’ | Cavite State University-Bacoor City Campus continues its seven-year legacy of serving as a beacon of hope for its students. Organized by La Liga Psicologia, this year's initiative was empowered by faculty members and various student societies and organizationsโ€”including Central Student Government, Alliance of Computer Scientists, The Cornerstone, Information Technology Society, Teacher Education Society, Societas Humana Resource, Hospitality Management Society, ConAces Dance Tribe, and Education, Sports Promotion, and Anti-Delinquency Association.

Preparations for the Mental Health Awareness event officially commenced earlier this afternoon, in anticipation of the main celebration on October 20, 2026. Photos and videos were captured around the campus grounds, with students and faculty wearing blueโ€”a color chosen to remind everyone that they have the right to speak up, to shine, and that their personal stories can make a positive impact.

Today, October 10, marks World Mental Health Day โ€” one whole day dedicated to reflect on the importance of mental well-being, recognizing the unseen struggles, and a reminder to take care of yourself, not just physically but also mentally.

World Mental Health Day is a powerful opportunity to reinforce a truth many often overlooked: mental health is HEALTHโ€”and it deserves the same care, attention, and understanding as physical health.

One of the steps of recognizing the importance of mental health is understanding that healing looks different for everyone. Remember that healing is not linear, and that even through the delays, struggles, and the heartbreak, there is still value in trying again, in never giving up, and in believing that there is still a future, and it will come in due time. Being behind does not mean broken. It simply means that you are still hereโ€ฆsurvivingโ€ฆdoing your best, and still believing.

Teachers exceed their capabilities; they impart knowledge beyond what could be found in a textbook; they shape the future, build character, and awaken dreams.
