Araw ng Kagitingan: Honoring the Spirit of Filipino Bravery. 🇵🇭
Today, we commemorate Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor), a day that reminds us of the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism of our heroes during World War II. On this day, we look back at the historic Battle of Bataan, where Filipino and American soldiers stood strong despite overwhelming odds, limited resources, and harsh conditions.
Their bravery did not end on the battlefield. After the fall of Bataan came the tragic Bataan Death March, where thousands of soldiers endured unimaginable suffering. Yet even in the face of hardship, their strength and resilience became a symbol of true heroism.
As we remember their sacrifices, we also honor their legacy at places like the Mount Samat National Shrine, a powerful reminder of the price of freedom and the courage of those who came before us.
Let this day inspire us to carry forward their values—love for country, unity, and bravery in the face of challenges. Araw ng Kagitingan is not just about remembering history; it is about keeping the spirit of heroism alive in our everyday lives.
May we never forget. May we always honor. 🇵🇭
