๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ | The University of the East (UE) ROTC Unit successfully held its 15th Training Day and Closing Ceremony for Military Science 2, Academic Year 2025-2026, under the leadership of COL FERNANDO C ENGCOT INF (GSC) PA, the Commandant.
Cadets kicked off their final training day with a cumulative exam in the Engineering Building, testing their mastery of the course's previous lessons. Once the papers were turned in, they transitioned to the TYK Conference Hall to celebrate the conclusion of Military Science 2 for A.Y. 2025โ2026.
The ceremony commenced with the entrance of colors by the Corps of Cadets, led by the guest of honor and speaker, COL RODRIGO D BONIFACIO PNP (RET). Several alumni and members of the University of the East Knights, Inc., were in attendance to show their continued support for the UEROTC organization. Dr. Rogelio I Espiritu, the NSTP and OECO Director, delivered the welcome remarks and presented the address on behalf of Dr. Zosimo M Battad, the University's Chief Academic Officer. Finally, the Admin NCO, TSg Germel G Conmigo (Inf) PA, presented the MS-2 cadets for graduation, after which they were officially declared graduates by the Commandant, COL FERNANDO C ENGCOT INF (GSC) PA.
The Commandant, the NSTP Director, and the Training Staff led the distribution of awards and certificates to deserving cadets and honored guests. In a significant transition, COL FERNANDO C ENGCOT INF (GSC) PA turned over the ROTC cadets to CPT ALEXANDER V MANGASAR PA (RES). The cadets then took their solemn oath, marking their official acceptance into the Reserve Force of the Philippine Army. COL FERNANDO C ENGCOT INF (GSC) PA introduced COL RODRIGO D BONIFACIO PNP (RET) as the Guest of Honor and Speaker for the Ceremony.
COL RODRIGO D BONIFACIO PNP (RET) delivered his address proudly to the entire organization and highly encouraged the incoming college students to join the ROTC Program and take the challenge. Additionally, he stated that the old traditions, such as Hazing and other maltreatments, are no longer and will never happen again as we enter a new generation and new rules and regulations in the Armed Forces of the Philippines, specifically the Philippine Army. As the ceremony came to an end, the Civil Military Operations Platoon of the UEROTC conducted a photo opportunity for the honored guests and cadets.
The entire University of the East (UE) ROTC Unit proudly congratulates all ROTC Graduates and would like to commend all the honored guests and alumni for their support throughout the year and for their dedication and commitment to the Corps.
