On February 06 2026, the 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 which was organized by 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 - 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 held its 5th H𝗮𝗿𝗱 H𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 C𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗕 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗚𝘆𝗺, a significant event dedicated to the O𝗻-T𝗵𝗲-J𝗼𝗯 T𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘀 (𝗢𝗝𝗧𝘀). This ceremony was a formal introduction to the next stage of their academic journey, as they prepare to transition from 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻, 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶ng.
The hard hatting ceremony serves as a symbolic rite of passage, where each OJT is presented with a hard hat—representing their readiness to take on real-world projects while adhering to the highest standards of safety and professionalism. The hard hat is not only a symbol of protection but also a reminder of the responsibility that comes with the fieldwork they will soon be engaged in.
This event signifies the OJTs’ readiness to apply their academic knowledge in practical settings, contributing to ongoing projects that challenge their skills and creativity. As they don their hard hats, these trainees are stepping into a new chapter of their education, one that will mold them into the future professionals who will shape the built environment. The ceremony reflects the school’s commitment to providing its students with the experiences necessary to succeed in the competitive fields of engineering and architecture.
