Our STEM student Kristoff was among the dedicated Philippine Red Cross volunteers recognized by the City Government of Baguio for their invaluable service during the search, rescue, and retrieval operations following the Guisad Surong landslide.

Forda experience talaga, Kristoff! From the usual STEM life of classes, requirements, and deadlines to an experience that called for courage, compassion, teamwork, and service.

This is one experience that goes beyond the classroom — a reminder that our STEM students can also step up, serve, and make a difference when their community needs them most. 🫶

Today, we recognize Kristoff Brylle Mamayson, a Red Cross Youth Senior Plus Council Officer and Philippine Red Cross – Baguio Chapter volunteer, for his courage, resilience, and commitment during the Guisad landslide operation.

In the midst of a challenging and demanding situation, Kristoff stood with fellow volunteers and responders, demonstrating what it truly means to serve with compassion and courage. His willingness to help, perseverance under pressure, and dedication to the community embody the true spirit of Red Cross Youth volunteerism.

His service reminds us that bravery is not simply about facing difficult situations—it is choosing to help, to remain steadfast, and to be there when people need it most.

Thank you, Kristoff, for answering the call to serve. Your courage inspires us, and your resilience makes the Red Cross Youth community proud.

ADVISORY

Due to the effects of the enhanced southwest monsoon (Habagat) and pursuant to the announcement of the City Government of Baguio, face-to-face classes and work in all UC campuses are suspended on Monday, August 10, 2026.

📢📢 Higher Education Students:

📌Classes for the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences and the College of Law shall commence through asynchronous online instruction via the Canvas Learning Management System.

📌 Scheduled final examinations shall be administered on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

📌The adding and dropping of courses for the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences students shall be done on August 11, 2026, Tuesday.

📌Enrollment processes for incoming college students shall resume on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

📢📢 Integrated School Students:

📌 Scheduled classroom orientations with class advisers for kindergarten, grade school, and junior high school students are rescheduled to Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

📌 The General Orientation for Grade 11 students is rescheduled to Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 8:00 AM at the UC Gym.

Students and employees are advised to take necessary precautions, prioritize their safety, and monitor official University channels for further announcements and updates.
