As we celebrate the 117th Baguio Day this September 1, 2026, the University of the Cordilleras โ College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences proudly joins the City of Baguio in honoring its enduring heritage, culture, people, and community.
Baguio Day commemorates the cityโs establishment as a chartered city on September 1, 1909โa milestone that continues to remind us of the history and generations of people who helped shape the City of Pines into the vibrant community it is today. ๐ฒ
From the cool mountain air and majestic pine trees to the colorful Cordilleran patterns, indigenous artistry, weaving traditions, and cultural practices, Baguio carries a heritage that deserves to be cherished, respected, and passed on.
This yearโs theme, โEverlasting Baguio: Cultivating Circularity โ Building an Everlasting Baguio,โ calls upon everyone to envision a city that continues to thrive through sustainability, responsible stewardship, community participation, and the preservation of what makes Baguio unique.
As healthcare professionals, we are reminded that caring extends beyond the individualโit reaches our community, environment, culture, and future generations. Through service, compassion, and responsibility, we too can contribute to building a healthier and more sustainable Baguio. ๐ฉบ๐ฟ
