The Research Services Office (RSO) of the University of the Cordilleras (UC) successfully conducted the Seminar-Workshop on RStudio for Statistical Data Analysis on June 27, 2026, at the UC Legarda Campus. The activity brought together faculty members, researchers, and staff in an engaging learning session aimed at strengthening their statistical analysis competencies through the use of RStudio, one of the most widely used open-source software applications for data analysis and research.

The seminar-workshop was designed to enhance participants' knowledge and practical skills in utilizing RStudio for data management, statistical analysis, and data visualization. Through a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises, participants explored the fundamentals of the R programming language, learned efficient techniques for importing and cleaning datasets, and performed descriptive and inferential statistical analyses using RStudio. The session also introduced participants to effective data visualization techniques that support the clear interpretation and communication of research findings.

The workshop emphasized the growing importance of data analytics and reproducible research in addressing contemporary academic and institutional research needs. By providing participants with practical experience in RStudio, the activity aimed to empower researchers with tools that promote efficiency, accuracy, and transparency throughout the research process.

The Seminar-Workshop reflects the University of the Cordilleras' continued commitment to advancing research excellence and fostering a culture of evidence-based inquiry. Through capacity-building initiatives such as this, the Research Services Office continues to equip the university community with relevant research competencies that support high-quality scholarly work and innovation.

As the University continues to strengthen its research ecosystem, similar training programs will be conducted to further develop the analytical capabilities of faculty, staff, and researchers, ensuring that the UC community remains responsive to the evolving demands of research, data science, and innovation.
