Fifty-four years after the declaration of Martial Law, we remember the Filipinos whose lives were marked by imprisonment, torture, enforced disappearance, violence, and other human rights violations during the Marcos dictatorship.

Remembering is more than looking back. It is an act of recognizing what happened, honoring those who suffered, and understanding the responsibility that comes with the freedoms we have today.

As women of the University of the Philippines and members of the UP Sigma Beta Sorority - Baguio Chapter, we uphold our principles of These call us to learn from history, engage with the issues that affect our communities, and remain conscious of the responsibility that comes with being part of society.

May we continue to remember the past, listen to those who lived through it, and protect the rights and dignity of every Filipino.

A special thank you to our sisters from the UP Sigma Beta Sorority Global Alliance for generously supporting our relief efforts and helping make our donation drive possible. Your generosity allowed us to extend help where it was needed and reminded us that sisterhood reaches far beyond borders.
