Saint Louis University (SLU), through its School of Nursing Allied Health and Biological Sciences (SONAHBS), is a 𝐓𝐨𝐩-𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 in the August and September 2026 Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE), achieving a 100% passing rate for the 248 Louisian-examinees.

Additionally, 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐭𝐞𝐧:

It was also revealed that 28,652 out of 37,359 (76.69%) passed the NLE administered by the Board of Nursing at testing centers located in NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Cabanatuan, Cauayan, Dumaguete (Negros Oriental), Ilocos Sur, Laguna, Lipa (Batangas), Tagbilaran (Bohol), and Urdaneta (Pangasinan).

𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐒𝐋𝐔) welcomed its sister institution, the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬 𝐓𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐨 (𝐔𝐒𝐋𝐓), for a benchmarking activity held on 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦, 𝐒𝐋𝐔 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬. Bringing members of both academic communities together for an afternoon of sharing, learning and collaboration.

The highlights of the activity was the presentation by the University Information office (UIO) of SLU , which introduced the office’s functions, responsibilities, and role in communicating the university’s information to the community.

During the presentation, 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐑. 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐛, the Head of the University Information Office, quoted that “We always need to follow the legal guidelines”.
Her statement highlighted how effective communication goes beyond creativity, requiring careful consideration of the guidelines that help protect both the institution and its community.

Also, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐡 𝐂. 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐧, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, Writer of the University Information Office, emphasized the importance of maintaining quality in the content produced by the office, quoted “If we create a content, we make sure it’s high quality”.

The exchange also became an opportunity to recognize that continuing relationship between the two sister institutions, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐎. 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐮𝐬, Director of Global Relations and Alumni Affairs, and Scholarship Programs at Saint Louis University, expressed her appreciation to the visiting delegation, saying “Thank you for choosing us over and over”. Her message highlighted the value of the continued trust and connection between SLU and USLT.

Following the benchmarking session, USLT delegation was given a tour of the UIO, allowing them to see the environment, the tour then proceeded to the SLU Printing Press, where they were introduced to another part of the university’s communication and production process.

The activity also reflects the universities’ commitment to supporting 𝐒𝐃𝐆 (𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬) 𝟒 (𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟕 (𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬) by creating spaces where knowledge, experiences, and good practices can be shared.

YSEALI SUMMIT 2026 APPLICATION IS NOW OPEN!

Alumni of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) may begin submitting their applications to this year's summit in Manila, Philippines, starting September 14.

Summit 2026 will bring together past participants of YSEALI programs to form action plans on regional security priorities such as:

🚢 Maritime Security
⚡️ Energy Security
🖥️ Cybersecurity

🤝 and the international cooperation that makes the United States and ASEAN safer, stronger, and more prosperous.

YSEALI Alumni have until October 2 to submit their applications for YSEALI Summit 2026.
