𝐒𝐋𝐔 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝟏𝟎𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲, 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐔𝐑𝐈 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬
In the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), released by the WURI Foundation on 07 May 2026, Saint Louis University (SLU) achieved a milestone by securing 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 among the world’s Top 500 universities, which is a remarkable rise from Rank 137 in 2025.
From the 17 entries initially submitted across the 24 global innovation categories, 14 of the University’s entries advanced through the first stage of evaluation, and 13 ultimately secured positions under the Global Top 100.
Three of SLU’s entries achieved Top 10 finishes in the following categories:

Across 24 categories, WURI’s system measures innovation targets and methods to gauge an institution's creative contribution to societal advancement. The ranking highlights higher education institutions that excel in innovative approaches, inspiring advancements across academic and societal landscapes.
A core pillar of the WURI framework is its emphasis on industrial application and ethical responsibility. It places a high premium on social responsibility, ethics, and integrity, ensuring that academic success is measured by its contribution to the public good rather than just individual achievement.
Adhering to WURI’s forward-looking and collaborative approach in inspiring continuous progress and to the call to quality Catholic education rooted in Missio et Excellentia, SLU remains constant in valuing its ongoing innovation efforts while fostering an environment of mutual learning in an ever-evolving academic landscape.
