Political Science students from the University of Baguio joined the second Global Youth Ambassadors Model Conference (GYAMC) held August 28 to 30, 2026, at the DBP Training Complex in Baguio City.
Held under the theme "Shaping Tomorrow Amidst Turmoil: Rebuilding a Fractured Global Order toward a New Era of Multilateralism," the conference brought together young delegates to debate global issues, form blocs, and pass resolutions.
Representing the Republic of Finland at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Yuan Marco Del Valle joined discussions on strengthening social protection systems in fragile and conflict-affected settings. Linzie Althea Arenos, representing Australia at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), worked on safeguards for climate and political displacement, including a standardized financial framework to support host countries.
The students' participation supports several Sustainable Development Goals, including No Poverty, Reduced Inequalities, Climate Action, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and Partnerships for the Goals.
