The School of Nursing (SON) held a two-day Clustering Activity on December 10โ11, 2025 at Room 101, 1st Floor, CAHS Building, as part of its preparation for the second semester. The activity gathered SON faculty to revisit and refine the course syllabus, Detailed Learning Plans (DLP), and Table of Specifications (TOS) in accordance with CHED requirements, BSN program standards, and University formats. Faculty members also exchanged insights on effective use of Google Classroom to support online instruction.
Day 1, focused on the review of outcomes-based syllabi, DLPs, and TOS, followed by a hands-on workshop aimed at strengthening faculty skills in managing online courses. The activity was led by SON Cluster Chair Prof. Maria Caroline L. Santos, and formally opened with welcome remarks from University President / OICโAssociate Director Dr. Ruby B. Santos-Matibag. RLE Coordinator Prof. Nemia Calimbas also delivered a message on behalf of SON Dean, Dr. Jocelyn Villanueva. The program opened and concluded with a prayer.
On Day 2, cluster meetings were held to align theoretical content with clinical practice, allowing course lecturers and RLE Clinical Instructors to ensure coherence between classroom instruction and clinical application. In the afternoon, faculty presented their updated syllabi, learning plans, and outputs from the Google Classroom workshop, showcasing improved organization and instructional design.
The event was well-participated and highly engaging, fostering constructive critiquing and refinement of instructional outputs. Faculty completed evaluations of course syllabi and DLPs through self-rating, peer review, and administrative assessment. They were also reminded of the required learning competencies and the importance of timely submission of academic documents as SON continues to strengthen the quality and consistency of its academic delivery.
