Before the month ends, #𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝, we celebrate the Filipinas who transformed Philippine cuisine from a home tradition into a global masterpiece. Behind every iconic Filipino flavor is a story of a woman who dared to innovate, document, and lead. 🍲✨

From the science of survival to the art of fine dining, these women are the ingredients of our national pride:

🧪𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐎𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐚, The war hero and scientist who gave us Banana Ketchup and used food technology to save lives during WWII.
📚 𝐃𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐳, The "Food Goddess" who gave us the vocabulary to understand our own heritage through her legendary essays.
🍽️ 𝐆𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐨, The visionary who elevated Filipino "home cooking" to the world’s most prestigious state dinner tables.

🌊 Every Hatchling's Journey is a Victory for Our Seas! 🐢✨

Last March 07, 2026, the 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐟𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 (𝐉𝐂𝐋) participated 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝑨𝑳𝑷𝑨𝑺: 𝑻𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝑯𝒐𝒑𝒆 in Pag-asa, Bagac, an initiative by the CSI:Earth.

Alongside our incredible partners—𝗖𝗦𝗜: 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵, 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀. 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗗. 𝗕𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿, 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝗯𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗼-𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗴 with the 𝗣𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝘄𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝟯𝗣𝟯𝗖)—we took a stand to protect the vital nesting grounds of our local "gentle giants." 🐢 From the endangered 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙚𝙖 𝙏𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙡𝙚 to the resilient 𝙊𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙍𝙞𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙮 and 𝙃𝙖𝙬𝙠𝙨𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙡, these marine travelers rely on us to keep their habitats safe and pristine. 🐚

We acquired invaluable knowledge and deep insights into the diverse initiatives each organization spearheads for pawikan conservation. From habitat monitoring to rescue operations, seeing these specialized efforts in action was truly eye-opening. 🔎🐢

From protecting nesting beaches to reducing the plastic waste that threatens marine life, every small action we take today ensures that future generations will still witness the magic of these creatures gliding through our oceans. 🌊🐢💙

𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐄, 𝐒𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄, 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐙𝐄 🌶️🍰🍹

​Learning goes far beyond the classroom walls!

​Last Friday, March 6, 2026, the 𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒇𝒔 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒆, in collaboration with the 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑯𝑴 𝑫𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 and led by 𝑪𝑩𝑨 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑮𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕, equipped senior high school students at City of Balanga National High School with practical, real-world skills for their future careers.

​From cake baking and design led by 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗳𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲'𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, to mixology and bartending sessions with 𝗛𝗠 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, students got a true taste of the professional world. 🧑‍🍳

​A huge thank you to the faculty of COBNHS for the warm welcome, and to our mentors—𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻 𝐋. 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮 𝗦. 𝗕𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮-𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘆, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗝𝗶𝗺𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗚. 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘆𝘂, and to our wonderful guest speaker 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝗕. 𝗙𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀—for bridging the gap between the classroom and the industry. 🤝

Community Service with a Dash of Love! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

On February 19, 2026, the 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗳𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 headed to Orion, Bataan, for the 𝑻𝑹𝑬𝒀𝑫𝑳𝑰𝑵𝑮𝑨𝑷: 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒈-𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒏 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒍𝒂 𝒂𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒃 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒈-𝒂𝒔𝒂.🫰🏼

The Junior Chefs League, together with our dedicated officers and adviser, served as facilitators of the program, assisting in educational activities and helping create a fun and meaningful learning experience for the children. This initiative reflects our organization’s commitment to community engagement and to nurturing awareness of health and hygiene among the younger generation.✨️
