The two-day, inter-agency training concluded today with the invited resource persons from the Commission on Human Rights - Region 3, headed by Atty. Mabelyn A. Palukpok (Division Chief of the Legal Division of the CHR-RO3). She, along with Atty. John Angel Bautista and Ms. Abygail Paras, facilitated the discussions, workshops, and learnings about the prevention and response to gender-based violence in the university and the community. The participants were able to come up with an action plan involving the cooperating agencies – CHR-RO3, DILG Bataan, and PNP Bataan.

Select BPSU employees, including some GFPS-CHRE members, were trained online by the GAD-CHRE Director Diosa Pascual on how to make gender-responsive projects using the gender analysis tools and the Harmonized GAD Guidelines (HGDG).

The BPSU GAD-CHRE conducted the two-day training-workshop which aimed to guide all the select participants in program/project development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation through the use of results-based and gender-responsive tools and guidelines developed by NEDA and PCW for GAD mainstreaming to comply with international and national mandates and thrusts.

With recent changes and updates in GAD-related and human rights laws, issuances, and policies, the BPSU GAD-CHRE Resource Center conducted on April 07-08, 2026 the Learning Action Cell focusing on GAD and Human Rights Laws. Atty. Judie Rose Tugado Dimayuga, a subject matter expert from PCW’s National GAD Resource Pool, served as resource person for this two-day online training.

The training deepened the capacities of the 33 women and nine men GFPS-CHRE Members as leaders of the University's gender mainstreaming initiatives and as subject matter experts for other agencies. The group actively engaged in a deep dive to be updated and deepen their understanding of various international agreements, national laws, sectoral issuances, and local legislation.

As part of the activities for the National Women’s Month Celebration, the University gathered women employees actively engaged in research, extension, and technology transfer on March 24-25, 2026 for the Women in RETT Summit.

Through Prof. Katherine Bautista of Central Luzon State University and Ms. Maria Daryl Leyesa of the Philippine Commission on Women-National GAD Resource Pool as invited plenary speakers, the Summit presented and explored current gender biases, stereotypes and discrimination faced by women employees that negatively affect their ability to perform leadership roles in RETT undertakings. More importantly, the Summit was able to identify ways forward overcome such roadblocks, thus ensuring women’s full and effective participation as leaders of RETT undertakings.

𝔽𝕦𝕝𝕝 𝕊𝕋𝔼𝔸𝕄 𝔸𝕙𝕖𝕒𝕕! ℂ𝕠𝕟𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕎𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕟 𝔼𝕕𝕦𝕔𝕒𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕤



In order to gather information and insights from women Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture and Mathematics (STEAM) experts and educators, the University through the GAD-CHRE Resource Center, conducted the "Full STEAM Ahead! Conversations with Women Educators" on 23 March 2026 via Google Workspace, i.e., Google Meet, Google Drive, and Google Forms. The event was strategically scheduled to coincide with the National Women’s Month Celebration.

Dr. Diadem Gonzales-Esmero, the invited plenary speaker, designed the session and brought with her Dr. Nomer Esmero for the afternoon session. To contextualize the gender issues faced by women STEAM educators, an informal exchange of lived experiences was facilitated based on current data. Through this, possible immediate ways to address structural hindrances were identified which, in turn, will be the bases for designing administrative support to women STEAM educators in the University.
