𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗔𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗧 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗜-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

May 26, 2026 — Aurora State College of Technology President Dr. Renato G. Reyes spearheaded a learning session on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in research writing at the Bulwagang Senator Edgardo J. Angara, bringing together Research Center Directors to explore innovative approaches to academic writing. Joining the activity were Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Mayreen V. Amazona and Director of the International, External, and Alumni Services Office Joseph T. Gonzales.

Recognizing the growing role of AI in education and research, Dr. Reyes personally facilitated the session and shared practical insights on the responsible and effective use of AI tools in academic writing. He emphasized how these technologies can assist researchers in organizing ideas, strengthening literature reviews, refining writing structure, and improving research efficiency while upholding academic integrity, originality, and critical thinking.

A highlight of the activity was the presentation of review articles prepared by the participants with the assistance of AI tools. The presentations demonstrated how AI can serve as a valuable support mechanism in producing more organized, well-developed, and high-quality academic outputs without replacing the essential role of the researcher.

The initiative underscored ASCOT’s continuing commitment to research innovation and academic excellence by equipping academic leaders with relevant knowledge and digital competencies necessary in today’s evolving educational landscape.
