Following the Junior High festivities, the Senior High Department continued the celebration with the nostalgic theme “Back to the 2000s: Connect, Create, Belong.”

The event was filled with energy and camaraderie as students showcased talents and bonded as a community.

Thanks to McDonald’s Balingasag, Mr. Reynaldo P. Valmores, RPh, and the dedicated faculty and staff for making the program a success.

Highlights included lively performances and Best Attire awards, capping the day with joy and a renewed sense of belonging.

The Junior High School Department of MOIST, Inc. successfully held its Acquaintance Party 2026 with the vibrant theme “Back to Y2K and Cowboy: Connect, Create, Belong.”

The event was marked by laughter, camaraderie, and memorable fun as students reconnected and celebrated the start of the school year. Awards were also presented to those who showcased their creativity and style in the Best Attire competition, adding excitement to the day.

The program’s success was made possible through the support of McDonald’s Balingasag and the unwavering commitment of Mr. Reynaldo P. Valmores, RPh, alongside the dedication of the faculty and staff.

This year’s Acquaintance Party stood as a testament to the spirit of belonging, creativity, and connection among MOIST Junior High students.

MOIST WELCOMES THE CHED CoSCho INFORMATION CARAVAN!

Misamis Oriental Institute of Science and Technology (MOIST), Inc. is honored to serve as the venue for the CHED Scholarship Program for Coconut Farmers and Their Families (CoSCho) Information Caravan on August 17, 2026.

The activity aims to bring scholarship opportunities closer to qualified coconut farmers and their dependents by providing information, guidance on the application process, and greater awareness of opportunities for higher education.

MOIST, Inc. is proud to support this meaningful initiative of the Commission on Higher Education - Regional Office 10, helping open doors to education and brighter possibilities for coconut-farming families in Misamis Oriental.

The MOIST community is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Cesar Bautista, Dean of the BS Criminology Department. We will always cherish the invaluable contributions he made to the department and the institution.

We are sincerely grateful for his wisdom, guidance, and dedication, especially in the Research, where he generously served as a research panelist for our Criminology students.

The entire MOIST community extends its heartfelt gratitude for his faithful service, unwavering commitment, and exemplary leadership.

May the Lord grant him eternal rest, and may His love and comfort be with his family during this difficult time. We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and loved ones.

We are pleased to announce that, through our partner agency, scholarship slots are now available under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for quality technical education and skills training.

The following qualifications are open for enrollment:

* Food and Beverage Services

Please note that slots are limited. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the MOIST TVET Department to complete their enrollment.

Classes will begin on the 2nd week of August.

Take advantage of this FREE TESDA training, which includes a government training allowance for qualified trainees.
