Aklan State University (ASU) and the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) formalized a three-year partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held today, September 3, 2026, at the ASU Conference Hall.

Representing ASU President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, SUC President III, who is currently on official travel, was Dr. Anna Mae C. Relingo, Vice President for Administration and Finance. CDA Region VI was represented by Antonio C. Escobar, Regional Director.

The MOA establishes a partnership between ASU and CDA for the conduct of Training of Trainers for trainers of accredited Cooperative Training Providers (CTPros) and prospective applicants for CDA accreditation.

Under the agreement, ASU will serve as a partner in providing Training of Trainers programs, upholding quality training standards, developing a pool of resource speakers, providing training facilities, and issuing certificates to qualified participants. The CDA will provide technical support, assist in the development of training standards, recognize ASU-issued certificates, and monitor the implementation of the program.

Wear a snug-fitting face mask, particularly when outdoors or when haze is noticeable.
Limit prolonged outdoor activities and avoid unnecessary exposure to areas with poor air quality.
Individuals who are sensitive to poor air quality are advised to take extra precautions and minimize outdoor exposure.
Keep doors and windows closed when outdoor air quality is visibly poor, whenever practicable.
Stay informed by monitoring official updates from government agencies regarding air quality and related advisories.

Everyone is reminded to prioritize health and safety and to take appropriate measures while haze conditions persist.
