Hello po. Please take a few moments to read this. We are knocking on your generous hearts on behalf of our friend, Lourdes J. Salas.

She was rushed to St. Paul Hospital in Iloilo in September of 2019 because of severe abdominal pain. After undergoing some tests, the doctor confirmed that she had a ruptured appendix with abscess (pocket of infection) and required her to undergo an immediate surgery. She had some other tests and went through several days of observation before being discharged. In January 2020, she had a reverse Ileostomy procedure, a major procedure that attaches the small intestine's final segment (ileum) to the abdominal wall at West Hospital (Don Benito) in Iloilo. Despite all the procedures she has undergone, she has suffered from abdominal pain continually. The medicines seemed not helpful enough to ease her pain so she was admitted to DRSTMH in Kalibo in May 2021. Unfortunately, in July 2021 she was diagnosed with Crohn's disease.

She has suffered in silence and refused to seek financial assistance from her friends in fear of becoming an additional burden in this trying time of pandemic. Up-to-date she is still recovering from the operations and battling with Crohn's. She needs to take 6 Mesalazine (steroid) a day and Imuran(anti-suppressant) 2x a day. She also has to change her colostomy bag regularly. Thus, we are posting this to ask for assistance to ease the financial burden of her family. Dalawa lang po kasi silang magkapatid ang magkasama,so she completely relies her medical expenses on her Ate. Sana po makatulong tayo kahit konting amount lang po for her maintenance medicines and other medical needs.
