ISCC CAREER GUIDANCE 2026: Discovering Your Strengths and Building a Purpose-Driven Career Path
Ilocos Sur Community College successfully held the ISCC Career Guidance 2026 on April 22, 2026, at the ISCC Gymnasium, bringing together graduating students for a meaningful and inspiring career preparation event.
The program opened with encouraging remarks from Dr. Bryan Q. Cabico, Guidance Counselor, who highlighted the theme, "Discovering Your Strengths and Building a Purpose-Driven Career Path." He motivated students to recognize their abilities, believe in their potential, and pursue careers that align with their passions and personal goals. He emphasized that knowing one’s strengths is an important step toward building a purposeful and successful future.
The highlight of the event was the engaging session of the resource speaker, Ma’am Mary Madelene A. Salvador, Manager of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur, who shared valuable insights on real job experiences, industry expectations, and practical career-readiness strategies.
Ma’am Salvador also shared practical tips on how to prepare and ace job interviews, emphasizing confidence, professionalism, preparation of documents, effective communication, company research, and showcasing one’s strengths—equipping students with knowledge and boosting their confidence as they prepare to enter the workforce.
This was followed by the awarding of certificates and closing remarks. The activity served as a valuable opportunity for students to gain guidance, motivation, and direction as they prepare for their future careers.
The ISCC Guidance Services Office staff extends sincere appreciation to all participants, organizers, and the resource speaker for making this event meaningful and impactful, as well as to Dr. Roel Palo Anicas, College Administrator, for his valuable support in making Career Guidance 2026 successful and beneficial for all students.
May this Career Guidance 2026 inspire students to discover their strengths, pursue their passions, and build purpose-driven career paths toward a brighter future.
