The Department of Information Technology officially welcomed its new BSIT students for Academic Year 2026โ2027 through HIII Tech: Department Orientation for Freshies, organized by the Information Technology Student Council (ITSC).
The event began with section-based socialization activities, allowing students to connect, collaborate, and get to know their classmates through fun games and interactive activities. This was followed by ByteWalk: The First Step into the Digital World, a symbolic walk marking the beginning of their journey in the BSIT program.
The orientation proper officially opened with the inspiring welcome remarks of Dr. Anjela C. Tolentino, Department Chairperson, followed by informative sessions from guest speakers who shared valuable insights for navigating student life in the program.
๐ฅ๏ธ Mr. Rayson James O. Imbag discussed his experiences and lessons learned as a BSIT graduate through "Hello, World!: My BSIT Journey."
๐ Ms. Angelika S. Balagot guided students through the curriculum and academic expectations in "Source Code: Understanding the BSIT Program."
๐ Mr. Ryan L. Bermoza introduced the rules, responsibilities, and expectations of being part of the CLIRDEC community through "Access Granted: Rules and Responsibilities of a BSIT Student."
The event concluded with presentations from the department's student organizationsโITSC, IMG, BITS, and The Cacheโintroducing opportunities for leadership, involvement, and professional growth within the BSIT community.
From freshmen to transferees and shifters, HIII Tech served as a gateway to new experiences, meaningful connections, and the exciting journey ahead in Information Technology.
