OFFICIAL STATEMENT
The administration of Iloilo Science and Technology University โ Barotac Nuevo Campus (ISAT U BNC) wishes to address the information circulating within the campus regarding an alleged threat.
Following verification conducted by the SSEDMO and PICO, the reported threat was found to be a hoax. We urge everyone to remain calm, refrain from spreading unverified information, and rely only on official announcements from the University.
The campus security personnel have maintained security measures and will continue to do so to safeguard the welfare of our students, faculty members, employees, and everyone entering the campus. Classes and regular campus operations will continue as usual.
The University takes this matter seriously. Appropriate measures will be pursued to establish accountability for those responsible for deliberately spreading false information that causes fear, panic, and unnecessary distress within the campus community, in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.
We understand the concern this incident may have caused. The safety and well-being of our community remain a priority, and we are committed to maintaining a secure, orderly, and conducive learning environment.
We call on everyone to remain vigilant, exercise responsibility in sharing information, and cooperate with campus authorities. Let us not allow unverified claims to disrupt our learning community or compromise the peace and unity we have built together.
