| CONSTELLATE maps SSC-PB; three posts fail to align
Campus Electoral Board (CEB) formally proclaimed the newly elected student leaders of the Supreme Student Council (SSC)-Pablo Borbon (PB) for Academic Year 2026โ2027 at the Gov. Feliciano โSanoyโ Leviste Memorial Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, May 7.
The CONSTELLATE party secured nearly all major positions in this yearโs polls, led by the SSC President-elect Jhoelton Jayruss M. Dela Cruz, garnering 70.4% of the total votes cast. Joining him in the executive council are Maverick Anderson E. Rodis, Executive Vice President-elect (66%), Kenji G, Cuasay, Vice President-elect for Student Governance (VPSG)-Lemery (88.5%), Princes Nicole M. Pasia, VPSG-Rosario (81%), Chino Jorge M D***l, Vice President-elect for Student Organizations and Activities (66.3%), and Samuel C. Silang, Vice President-elect for External Affairs (63.5%)
In his statement, Dela Cruz emphasized plans to revisit the SSC Constitution and By-Laws to address the evolving needs of the student body. โWe will consider the revisions and amendments of SSCโs Constitution and By-Laws since the needs of the students are evolving. Our main initiative is to gather an assembly na hindi lamang open sa student organizations and councils kundi sa students upang mapakinggan ang bawat boses at concerns nila. We will be inviting the administration so that they will know and, at the same time, malaman ang ways forward nila upon hearing the concerns of the entire studentry,โ Dela Cruz said.
Meanwhile, for the senior officials, Kirsten Lou I. Brioso secured the Secretary General post, Francess Angelli S. Baliwag as Deputy Secretary General-elect, Kirk Johnwayne M. Umali as Finance Officer-elect, Charles Vincent P. Biscocho as Deputy Finance Officer-elect, Avrielle Rhain C. Sales as Auditor-elect, Aron James Samonte as Public Information Officer-elect, Lee Russell C. Castillo as Business Manager-elect for Income Generating Project, and Kristine D. Catanyag as Business Manager-elect for Sponsorship and Marketing.
In addition, among the proclaimed governors-elect were Dawn Grace M. Cuevas for the College of Health Sciences (CHS), Leiram D. Atienza for the College of Teacher Education (CTE), Piere Jaden Kristoffer Kalalo for Integrated School-Junior High School, and Light Gabriel M. Bandayrel for Integrated School-Senior High School.
In the Rosario campuses, Edzel A. Hosmillo secured the CABEIHM-Rosario governorship, while April Joy C. Perez won the CTE-Rosario post with 95.3%โone of the highest vote shares recorded in the elections. Also proclaimed were Xerah Lou G. Dela Torre of CABE-Lemery, Ma. Amor Vida U. Deomampo of CTE-Lemery, and Jun Leh M. Montermoso of CTE-San Juan.
The election recorded a total voter turnout of 9,690 across BatStateU-Pablo Borbon and its extension campuses. CABEIHM posted the highest turnout share at 28.1%, followed by CTE with 13.8%, and CHS with 8.2%.
Aaron Mae Acheampong, CEB Vice Chairperson, shared that the total number of official voter turnout this year was higher compared to last yearโs election.
โSa end ng CEB, it is a success since somehow naabot namin โyung total turnout talaga and nag-exceed compared to what we had last yearโthinking na kami ay once naging candidates din,โ Acheampong said.
Despite CONSTELLATEโs dominance, abstentions emerged as a strong statement in several races. Rahm Ezikiel S. Maniego, CAS Governor-aspirant, failed to secure the position after 68.8% abstention, the highest abstention rate recorded in the elections. Similarly, these abstentions overtook Chris Adriel M. Tanioโs candidacy for VPSG-Pablo Borbon with 53.9%.
Meanwhile, Mary Cindy Katherine G. Manalo, independent, edged out The CONSTELLATE bet Amiel B. Bagsit for the CABEIHM Governor post, with 42.27% of the total number of votes.
Asst. Prof. Joseph Mendoza, CEB Chairperson, later announced a special election for vacant posts, including CAS Governor, CCJE Governor, CABEIHM Governor-San Juan, VPSG-San Juan, and VPSG-Pablo Borbon.
The proclamation ceremony also recognized newly elected college student council leaders, including Laurence Danielle D. Catapang of CAS Student Council, John Carlo D. Faigmane of CABEIHM Student Council, and Kim Adrian D. Villanueva of Teacher Education Student Council. However, CCJE and CHS student councils did not participate in the campus-wide proclamation.
