We hit the CICS building to interview this year's froshies getting an inside look behind the reason as to why they chose Computer Science/Information Technology โ€” and their previous experience with coding.๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿ’ป

Turns out most froshies weren't just here on a whim. A good chunk already had coding experience under their belt, and many talked about being genuinely passionate about it long before college โ€” building small projects, tinkering with code, or just falling in love with problem-solving early on. This batch came in locked in. ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ป

What stood out most: this isn't a batch of froshies figuring out if this program is for them. They already knew. And now is there chance to prove it.

Under Memorandum Circular No. 131, signed by Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto, Malacaรฑang has directed the implementation of alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures in public and private schools tomorrow, ๐—”๐˜‚๐—ด๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

The measure follows the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) amid the threat of localized flooding and travel-related risks due to the persistent rainfall.
