In celebration of diversity, empowerment, and inclusive leadership, the Gender and Development Office, together with PAPAGAYO – The Red Spartan Pride Council and FOCUS – BatStateU Camera Club Alangilan, proudly present two meaningful initiatives dedicated to strengthening awareness, compassion, and safe spaces within the Red Spartan community. 💜

📚 Kulaydoscope V2.0 serves as a dynamic platform for student-led learning, discussions, and presentations that promote understanding of Gender and Development (GAD), LGBTQIA+ concerns, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), HIV/AIDS awareness, and inclusive leadership. Through seminars and capacity-building activities, students are empowered to become advocates of equality, respect, and social responsibility.

🤝 Kulay Agapay v2.0 continues its mission of fostering inclusive voices and safe connections by creating supportive spaces for dialogue, creativity, and mental health awareness. This initiative champions acceptance, understanding, and community engagement for marginalized sectors, especially LGBTQIA+ individuals and the youth.

Together, these initiatives aim to cultivate a campus culture where every voice matters, every identity is respected, and every hue contributes to a stronger and more inclusive community. 🌈✨

Women for STEM: A Panel Discussion

In celebration of "National Women’s Month" and "World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development", the Women for STEM Panel Discussion conducted last March 06, 2026 brings together inspiring women professionals and experts in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to share their experiences, insights, and journeys in their respective fields.

In collaboration with Siemens Energy, the event features invited discussants: Engr. Maybelle Lyn Velasco from Siemens Energy; Engr. Sylvi Dianne Guico from SGS; Ms. Hillary Fong from Huawei; and Mirasol Celemin from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

This activity aims to empower students—especially young women—by highlighting the vital role of women in STEM industries and encouraging them to pursue careers in innovation, research, and engineering. Through meaningful dialogue and knowledge sharing, the panel discussion promotes gender equality, inclusivity, and leadership in STEM, while inspiring the next generation of changemakers to break barriers and contribute to sustainable development.

ARIBA 2026: Asserting and Recognizing Inclusivity to Bolden Advocacies - Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!

This National Women’s Month, we honor the strength, wisdom, and leadership of Filipino women—past and present—who continue to break barriers, uplift communities, and inspire change. Just like the Babaylans, the revered women leaders and spiritual guides of pre-colonial Philippines, may we continue to lead with courage, compassion, and purpose.

Join us as we celebrate women’s empowerment, inclusivity, and advocacy through a series of meaningful and engaging activities:

🎨 THE HALL OF FIRSTS: Reclaiming Space, Re-Defining Boundaries
A student portrait art competition honoring women pioneers who have broken barriers and led transformative change in their respective fields. Selected artworks will be exhibited to celebrate stories of leadership, resilience, and empowerment.

📸 Photo Booth
Strike a pose and show your support! A complimentary photo booth will be available for everyone to capture and commemorate their participation in the National Women’s Month Celebration.

🎬 HERSTORY
A curated screening of original short films and digital campaigns produced by students. Anchored in Gender and Development (GAD) principles, this initiative amplifies student voices in addressing gender issues, challenging harmful norms, and promoting gender-responsive perspectives through cinema.

👗 HELP A GIRL OUT
An initiative celebrating student empowerment and sustainable fashion at Batangas State University. This activity recognizes clothing as a medium of identity, self-expression, and confidence while promoting women’s empowerment and gender-responsive spaces.
