ADVISORY | SUSPENSION OF CLASSES AND GOVERNMENT WORK IN BATANGAS

Classes at all levels and work in government offices in Batangas are suspended starting 3 p.m. today, August 13, following Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 125 due to continuous heavy rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon.

Essential and disaster-response agencies are directed to continue operations and provide necessary services.

In accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 123, Library Services will not accommodate face-to-face transactions today, August 10, 2026, due to the implementation of work-from-home arrangements in government offices in Batangas amid continued heavy rainfall brought about by the Southwest Monsoon.

Regular library services will resume on August 11, 2026.

Batay sa inilabas na Memorandum Circular No. 123 ng Malacañang ngayong Agosto 9, 2026, ipatutupad ang work-from-home arrangement sa mga tanggapan ng pamahalaan sa Batangas sa Agosto 10, 2026, bilang pag-iingat sa patuloy na malakas na pag-ulan dulot ng Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) at banta ng pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa.

Hindi saklaw ng direktiba ang mga tanggapan na nagbibigay ng pangunahing serbisyo, kabilang ang health, disaster response, at iba pang vital services.

Pinapayuhan ang mga Batangueño na manatiling nakaantabay sa mga opisyal na abiso ng lokal na pamahalaan kaugnay ng kondisyon ng panahon.

UNIVERSITY ADVISORY | WORK AND CLASS SUSPENSION ON AUGUST 6

Students, faculty members, personnel, and other stakeholders are advised that work in government offices and classes at all levels are suspended on Thursday, August 6, 2026, in the National Capital Region (NCR) and 22 provinces, including Batangas, due to continued heavy rainfall brought by Tropical Storm Maymay and the Southwest Monsoon.

The suspension applies to government offices and educational institutions within the affected areas. However, government agencies engaged in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other essential functions shall continue their operations. Decisions regarding work suspension in private companies and offices remain at the discretion of their respective management.

Further updates and advisories from the University will be issued as necessary.
