These words were written by 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨 “𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲” 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐫. in a letter to his son, 𝐍𝐨𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐲, during his detention at 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨. They remain words from which we, as Filipinos, can continue to learn as we commemorate his passing.

May we be reminded not only of the tragedy of his death but also of the contributions he made to our nation’s history.

We must strive to follow the path of our conscience in a country polluted by corruption and atrocities, for it leads us closer to living with honor.
