Congratulations! ✨🎬

The College of Arts and Sciences proudly celebrates the election of our faculty members (Multimedia Communications Department) during the First Consultative Meeting of the Multimedia Sector under the Batangas Culture and Arts Council, organized by the Batangas Provincial Tourism, Culture and Arts Office (PTCAO), held at the Capitol Site, Batangas City last May 13, 2026.

Dr. Mary Grace V. Delgado was elected as Multimedia Sector Head, while Mr. Norvine M. Quinag was elected as Multimedia Sector Secretary.

Uniting local digital artists, filmmakers, animators, and multimedia practitioners, PTCAO organized the First Consultative Meeting of the Multimedia Sector as part of the reorganization of the Batangas Culture and Arts Council—strengthening collaboration and advancing creative industries across the province.

This achievement reflects their dedication to multimedia, communication, and cultural development, as well as their commitment to promoting arts and innovation in the community.

The College of Arts and Sciences proudly recognizes our faculty researchers for representing the institution at the Philippine Political Science Association Conference held at Silliman University, Dumaguete City last April 28–30, 2026. ✨📚

Mr. Jerico Jairo T. Reyes presented the study, "Gendered Margins: Batangueña Struggles for Political Inclusion."

Ms. Elsie O. Untalan presented “Shifting Tides of Eco-Political Engagement Among Batangueño Youth in Climate Activism."

Mr. Isaac Navarro also presented "Generation Z Across the Continuum of Empowerment in Youth Governance."

Their participation reflects the College’s commitment to research excellence, academic engagement, and meaningful contributions to political science and community development.

Dr. Yolanda C. Alejandre, presented her research titled "Rhetorical Competence and Communicative Effectiveness in the Digital Age: An Analysis of Ethos, Pathos, and Logos in Human Expression,” while Dr. Kristine Amor S. Catequista, presented “From Hashtags to Action: Citizen Participation through Social Media Campaigns for Good Governance.”

Adding to this proud moment, Dr. Alejandre was honored with the Best Abstract Award, recognizing the excellence, relevance, and scholarly impact of her research—bringing pride and honor to the University of Batangas.

With the theme, “Honoring the Past, Engaging the Present, Shaping a Just Future,” our Social Science Forum was successfully held last April 28, 2026.

We were honored to have Cinderella Valenton-Reyes, Mayor of Agoncillo, for her insightful discussion on Gender and Development in the Contemporary World.

We were also privileged to welcome Jonathan Capulas Balsamo from the Valenzuela Cultural Affairs and Tourism Development Office, who shared valuable perspectives in his talk, “Corroboration in Primary Sources: Rereading the Memoirs of Dr. Pio Valenzuela.”

The forum also featured exciting competitions, including the Video Awareness Campaign, Film Making of Rizal, and RPH, showcasing the creativity, critical thinking, and historical appreciation of our students.

Indeed, the event became a meaningful platform for reflection, learning, and shaping a more just and informed future.
