‎Love was truly felt at Bayambang Polytechnic College as we celebrated Valentine’s Day in a meaningful and purposeful way—placing connection, compassion, and community at the heart of the event. Our College President, Dr. Rafael Limueco Saygo, graced the celebration with his presence and delivered an inspiring message to the students. He reminded everyone that mental health is not “drama,” not “arte,” and not a sign of weakness. Instead, it is the strength to stand firm, to walk away from situations that are no longer healthy, and to choose growth, peace, and self-respect. His words encouraged every student to value their well-being with courage and maturity.

‎Our resource speakers generously shared their expertise, engaging students in meaningful discussions about mental health. Ms. Rhal Shane U. Navarro, a Registered Psychometrician and Licensed Professional Teacher, presented “Understanding Mental Health,” helping students gain clarity, dispel misconceptions, and develop emotional resilience and healthy stress management strategies. Meanwhile, Ms. Marianne D. Lomibao, a dedicated Guidance Counselor, Mental Health Educator, and Mental Health Advocate, discussed youth formation, spiritual growth, and purposeful living, encouraging students to reflect on their goals, values, and personal development. Their engaging and insightful sessions left students informed, inspired, and empowered to actively care for their mental and emotional well-being.

‎The celebration sparkled with fun, meaningful activities like the Heart Hunt and “Ibigay mo na YARN” (Heartstrings)—where colors represented emotions: Pink for those we cherish, Red for secret crushes, Orange for people we care about, Yellow for admiration, and Emerald Green for gratitude. Coupled with the soulful performances of the KPAG Band and the energetic moves of the KPAG Dancers, the event became a memorable expression of a community united by love, understanding, and support. A heartfelt thank you to all the students who stayed from start to finish—your presence, enthusiasm, and participation made this celebration truly special. It was a beautiful reminder that love, in all its forms, has the power to heal, inspire, and connect. 🧶❤️✨
