Viscans, the Hybrid SSC Election is officially ongoing.

📍 Physical voting is currently being conducted at the 2nd Floor, Annex Building, Faculty of Engineering Activity Hall and will remain open until 5:00 PM.

📍 Online voting will remain open until 10:00 PM today.

Students who are voting online are reminded to check their respective student email accounts, as the official Google Form voting link has been sent through email.

This Memorandum is issued to formally inform all concerned parties of the rescheduling of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) Election 2026.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 119, Series of 2026 issued by Visayas State University, entitled “Learning Continuity Measures During the National Energy Emergency effective April 27, 2026”, it has been noted that the previously scheduled SSC Election on May 6, 2026 falls within the Synchronous/Asynchronous Week (May 4–9, 2026).

Upon careful evaluation of the entire electoral process, the University Student Election Board (USEB) has resolved to reschedule the SSC Election from May 6, 2026 to May 15, 2026, which falls under the Face-to-Face class schedule. This decision is made to ensure maximum student participation, accessibility, and increased voter turnout. The election may be conducted through a hybridized online voting system depending on the campus, wherein:

• Students physically present on campus may vote at designated precincts to beestablished by the SEB; and
• Students physically present on campus and students who are off-campus will
be able to vote through authorized mobile or online platforms.

The SEB assures the student body that all necessary electoral safeguards and processes are in place to guarantee the integrity, credibility, and validity of the election results.

Furthermore, in view of the adjusted election date:
• The campaign period for all SSC Candidates is hereby extended until May 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
• The Election Week shall commence on May 9, 2026, during which all forms of campaigning are strictly prohibited.

This is in accordance with the Student Election Board Code, Article VII, Section 10, which provides that campaign activities shall end at midnight prior to the election week, and that no campaigning shall be conducted during the Election Day.

All concerned are enjoined to be guided accordingly and to uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and student representation throughout the electoral process.

The Student Election Board (SEB) is mandated to annually conduct two regular elections for the University Supreme Student Council (USSC) and the Faculty Supreme Student Council (FSSC).

The Filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) officially opened on January 19, 2026, and was initially set to close on February 19, 2026. However, in consideration of encouraging wider participation, the filing period was extended twice—first until March 13, 2026, and finally until March 31, 2026.

The Student Election Board – Baybay Campus hereby officially announces that there were no applicants or candidates for the University Supreme Student Council (USSC) Election 2026.

The Student Election Board (SEB) hereby announces that the Screening of Applicants for the upcoming Student Elections is now set to commence.

All filed Certificates of Candidacy (COC) shall undergo a thorough evaluation to ensure compliance with the prescribed qualifications, requirements, and guidelines.

Applicants are advised to remain available for possible communication and to monitor official announcements regarding the status of their application.
