Student leaders from the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers โ€“ VSU Student Chapter (PICE-VSUSC), together with the Faculty of Engineering โ€“ Supreme Student Council (FE-SSC) Officers, gathered at the VSU Market on August 08, 2026, for ๐“๐š๐ฆ๐›๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ฒ๐จ๐ง๐  ๐ฌ๐š ๐’๐š๐ฅ๐ฎ๐›๐จ๐ง๐  ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, a welcoming initiative dedicated to assisting incoming first-year students as they begin their journey at Visayas State University.

Carrying the spirit of ๐’•๐’‚๐’Ž๐’ƒ๐’‚๐’š๐’‚๐’š๐’๐’๐’ˆโ€”a Cebuano expression rooted in cooperation, mutual support, and collective effortโ€”the initiative aimed to make the transition into university life a little less overwhelming for the new members of the VSU community.

The initiative reflects the commitment of PICE-VSUSC to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment within the university. More than simply helping freshies reach their dormitories, the activity highlighted the value of student leadership grounded in service, compassion, and camaraderie.
