𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The Development Communicators’ Society (DeCSo) officially launched its newly established DeCSo Student Lounge today, September 4, at the ADE Building, marking another step in strengthening the organization’s community by providing its members with a space to stay, rest, connect, collaborate, and simply feel at home within the university.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, bringing together DeCSo members, officers, and department officials to celebrate a meaningful project made possible through the organization’s initiative and the support of its home department.

𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 | 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗟𝗬

The Student Assembly is an official activity of the University Supreme Student Council – Baybay (USSC) and is Board of Regents approved as reflected in the VSU System Academic Calendar.

In line with ARTICLE IX, Section 2 of the USSC Constitution and By-Laws, the USSC-Baybay Board Officers shall conduct the State of the Student Address (SOSA) as part of its mandate to uphold transparency, accountability, and student representation.

To ensure fairness and responsibility in student participation, the USSC enforces ARTICLE VI: DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS, which outlines the following sanctions for non-compliance with official activities:

🔹 Monetary Fine – A fixed fine of ₱50.
🔹 Community Service – Equivalent to the duration of the event missed, to be rendered within 10 working days.
🔹 School Supplies or Cleaning Materials Donation – Items worth ₱50 as an alternative to fines.

The Student Assembly stands as a vital democratic platform where students may actively engage in discourse, review accomplishments, and shape policies for the advancement of the student body.

The Development Communicators’ Society (DeCSo) extends its heartfelt gratitude to our former adviser, Mrs. Isabelle Mae Amora-Ortizano, as she concludes her journey with the Department of Development Communication.

For 3 whole years, from 2023 – 2026, Ma’am Sab was more than just an adviser. She guided DeCSo through every event and supported us in every plans we initiate. From processing papers to preparing for activities, she always made sure to show up for DeCSo. We could not have accomplished all that we did over the years without her guidance, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

Thank you for always believing in us, for challenging us to grow, and for guiding us with warmth and unwavering support. While we will miss your presence here, we are so excited for everything ahead in your next chapter. You will always be part of the DeCSo family.

We celebrate your hard work, dedication, and growth throughout this meaningful experience.
