Following a thorough screening and careful verification of submitted application requirements, the FNMS-SEB presents the student leaders who will officially run in the upcoming election on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲:

ORIENTATION OF QUALIFIED CANDIDATES FOR SSC SPECIAL ELECTION 2026

The University Student Election Board would like to inform all qualified FSSC and USSC candidates that there will be an orientation tomorrow, August 9, at 1 PM via Google Meet. The orientation will cover important information, guidelines, and reminders regarding the upcoming election.

All qualified candidates are expected to attend the orientation and be present during the entire duration of the orientation. Please attend the Google Meet before the scheduled time to avoid delays and ensure that you have a stable internet. You may access the meeting through this link: jirzxtfoxx.

During the orientation, candidates are expected to listen carefully and take note of the information and instructions provided by the Election Board. Candidates may also raise questions and ask clarifications at the appropriate portion of the orientation. Your attendance and cooperation are highly appreciated as we work together toward a transparent, fair, and peaceful FSSC and USSC elections.

This Memorandum is issued to formally inform all concerned parties of the rescheduling of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) Election 2026.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 119, Series of 2026 issued by Visayas State University, entitled “Learning Continuity Measures During the National Energy Emergency effective April 27, 2026”, it has been noted that the previously scheduled SSC Election on May 6, 2026 falls within the Synchronous/Asynchronous Week (May 4–9, 2026).

Upon careful evaluation of the entire electoral process, the University Student Election Board (USEB) has resolved to reschedule the SSC Election from May 6, 2026 to May 15, 2026, which falls under the Face-to-Face class schedule. This decision is made to ensure maximum student participation, accessibility, and increased voter turnout. The election may be conducted through a hybridized online voting system depending on the campus, wherein:

• Students physically present on campus may vote at designated precincts to beestablished by the SEB; and
• Students physically present on campus and students who are off-campus will
be able to vote through authorized mobile or online platforms.

The SEB assures the student body that all necessary electoral safeguards and processes are in place to guarantee the integrity, credibility, and validity of the election results.

Furthermore, in view of the adjusted election date:
• The campaign period for all SSC Candidates is hereby extended until May 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
• The Election Week shall commence on May 9, 2026, during which all forms of campaigning are strictly prohibited.

This is in accordance with the Student Election Board Code, Article VII, Section 10, which provides that campaign activities shall end at midnight prior to the election week, and that no campaigning shall be conducted during the Election Day.

All concerned are enjoined to be guided accordingly and to uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and student representation throughout the electoral process.

All qualified and interested students who intend to run for positions in the upcoming Student Elections are strongly encouraged to complete and submit their COC along with all required documents within the prescribed period.

📍 Candidates running for Faculty Supreme Student Council (FSSC) positions must submit their Certificate of Candidacy and requirements to their respective Faculty SEB.

📍 Candidates running for University Supreme Student Council (USSC) positions must submit their documents to the Campus SEB.
