LOOK || 9TH TRAINING DAY

The Saint Mary’s University Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (SMU ROTC) Unit successfully conducted its 9th Training Day on 10 October 2026, focusing on essential lifesaving capabilities and emergency medical response through Basic Life Support (BLS) instruction.

The morning commenced at 0730H with the cadets assembling for formation, followed by a strict check of attendance and an inspection of proper military bearing and discipline.

The training immediately proceeded to classroom instruction on Basic Life Support. The first topic was a discussion and practical demonstration on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) where they were taught life-saving chest compressions and rescue breathing protocols.

Following the CPR session, lecture about hands-on drills on First Aid and Bandaging techniques were taught next, equipping cadets with critical skills to manage wounds, fractures, and immediate physical trauma.

The training day concluded with strong coordination under the guidance and support of NSTPO Head Mr. Domingo T. Guntalilib Jr., the Training Staff, Graduate Military Assistants, and the Corps of Cadet Officers—exemplifying discipline, readiness, and a steadfast commitment to service and leadership.

LOOK || 8TH TRAINING DAY

The Saint Mary’s University Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (SMU ROTC) Unit successfully conducted its 8th Training Day last 03 October 2026.

The morning commenced at 0700H with the cadets gathering for formation, followed by a thorough check of attendance and an inspection of their proper military bearing.

The training immediately proceeded with practical drills, where cadets were taught the manual of arms commands. Following the r***e exercises, the cadets transitioned to classroom instruction. Cpl Rolan M Castillo PA(Res) lectured on Basic Communication, followed by Cpl King Rainer C Ambeguia PA(Res), who led the discussion on Basic Intelligence.

The training day concluded with strong coordination under the guidance and support of NSTP Head Domingo T. Guntalilib Jr., the Training Staff and Graduate Military Assistants, as well as the Corps of Cadet Officers—exemplifying discipline, teamwork, and a steadfast commitment to excellence in service and leadership.

The Saint Mary's University ROTC Unit expresses its deepest gratitude and appreciation to our esteemed NSTP Head, NSTP staff, and SMU ROTC training staff.

Saint Mary’s University (SMU) Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Unit rendered honors through the Entrance of the Colors during the opening ceremony of the 54th Founding Anniversary celebration of the Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative (NUVELCO) last 25 September 2026 at 1400H at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

This milestone occasion commemorated NUVELCO's more than five decades of dedicated service to the province of Nueva Vizcaya. Leading the ceremonial presentation was C/1LT Geoffery Gabrielle R Pilotin 2CL, who served as Color Officer.

The precise ex*****on of the Entrance of Colors by the SMU Corps of Cadets added solemnity and dignity to the event, showcasing the discipline, military bearing, and steadfast commitment to service upheld by the unit.
