𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | Alternative Arrangement of Classes on September 1, 2026

Please be informed that September 1, 2026 (Tuesday) shall be observed under alternative learning modes in Nueva Vizcaya pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 133 issued by the Office of the President on August 31, 2026, due to anticipated heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Accordingly, face-to-face classes at all levels at Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) are suspended on the said date, and alternative learning modalities shall be implemented.

Students are advised to coordinate with their respective faculty members regarding learning activities and requirements. Everyone is encouraged to remain vigilant and prioritize safety amid possible heavy rainfall and flooding.

The Northern Campus Supreme Student Council (NCSSC) joins the nation in commemorating National Heroes Day, honoring the men and women whose courage and sacrifices helped shape the freedom, identity, and future of the Filipino people.

May their legacy inspire us, as students and future leaders, to serve our communities with purpose and to contribute meaningfully to the nation we continue to build.

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 | The Northern Campus Supreme Student Council (NCSSC), in coordination with the Student Affairs and Services (SAS), conducted a Planning and Coordination Meeting for the Leadership Summit 2026 on August 28, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Mini-Theater, Nueva Vizcaya State University–Bayombong Campus.

The meeting brought together the College Student Council (CSC) Governors and heads of recognized Student Organizations (SOs) to discuss the plans, preparations, and necessary coordination for the upcoming summit.

The Leadership Summit 2026, anchored on the theme “The Call to Lead: Igniting Passion, Strengthening Service,” is envisioned as a three-day capacity-building and leadership development program for NVSU student leaders. The summit aims to equip student leaders with practical knowledge, skills, and values essential to effectively leading and managing their respective organizations.

The summit will feature general leadership seminars, team-building activities, specialized capacity-building sessions, and a recollection. Specialized sessions will focus on the distinct responsibilities of student organization officers, including organizational leadership and management for executive officers; secretariat and official document preparation for secretaries; financial management, budgeting, and accounting for treasurers and auditors; and media, publicity, communication, photography, and event documentation for public relations officers.

Through these activities, the Leadership Summit 2026 seeks to strengthen the competence, confidence, collaboration, and sense of service among NVSU student leaders, enabling them to become more effective stewards of their organizations and responsive leaders of the student community.

The planning meeting served as a venue for participating councils, organizations, and concerned university personnel to align plans, clarify roles and responsibilities, and coordinate key preparations toward the effective and meaningful implementation of the Leadership Summit 2026.

As an avenue for student governance, council meetings provide a formal platform for information sharing, consultation, coordination, and collective decision-making. Through such engagements, student leaders and university personnel work together to address concerns, establish common directions, and develop initiatives that contribute to the development and welfare of the student body.

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 | Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU)–Bayombong Campus kicked off its Buwan ng Wika and ASEAN Month 2026 celebration with a Grand ASEAN Parade on August 25, bringing together departments representing different ASEAN member states under the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together.”

The parade was followed by the Opening Program, where Dir. Fermila D. Cauilan of the NVSU Culture and the Arts Office (UCAO), emphased the promotion of Filipino language and identity is compatible with engaging in ASEAN integration.

“Hindi magkatunggali ang pagpapalakas ng sariling wika at ang pagiging bukas sa ASEAN integration,” Cauilan said.

Following the opening program, the university conducted a series of activities highlighting language, culture, and ASEAN identity. These included the Buwan ng Wika and ASEAN Month Seminar-Workshop, ASEAN Quiz Bowl, and Pagsulat ng Tula, which provided students with opportunities to deepen their understanding of Filipino culture and the diverse ASEAN identities.

In line with this year’s theme, the celebration serves as a reminder that honoring our roots does not mean closing ourselves off from the world. Rather, it allows us to move forward with a stronger sense of identity while building stronger bonds, solidarity, and cultural understanding.

The Northern Campus Supreme Student Council (NCSSC) informs all colleges, departments, offices, faculty members, and students of Nueva Vizcaya State University – Bayombong Campus of the upcoming Buwan ng Wika and ASEAN Month Celebration 2026, to be held on August 25, 2026, with the theme, “Navigating Our Future, Together.”

The celebration will officially begin with the ASEAN Grand Parade from 7:30 to 9:00 AM. All colleges and units are expected to follow the arrangement and assigned ASEAN countries as indicated, as these will serve as the official order and country representations for the parade.

Following the parade, various activities and competitions will be conducted, including the Buwan ng Wika and ASEAN Month Seminar-Workshop, ASEAN Quiz Bowl, Pagsulat ng Tula, and Same-Day Edit Video Contest.

Through these activities, the celebration aims to promote appreciation of the Filipino language and culture, strengthen awareness of ASEAN identity and cooperation, and encourage participation across the university.

Let us unite as one NVSU family as we celebrate our language, culture, diversity, and ASEAN heritage. Together, let us navigate our future toward greater understanding, cooperation, and unity.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | Public Presentation of the University’s Accomplishments on August 24, 2026

Please be informed that the Public Presentation of the University’s Accomplishments, with the theme “Weaving Today the FIBERS of NVSU Tomorrow,” will be held on August 24, 2026 (Monday) at the NVSU Gymnasium, Bayombong Campus, in accordance with University Memorandum No. 246, s. 2026.

The activity will also serve as the University Flag Raising Ceremony. Faculty members, non-teaching personnel, and selected student leaders from both campuses are expected to attend at the designated venue.

The Northern Campus Supreme Student Council (NCSSC) joins the nation in commemorating the life and sacrifice of Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino Jr., whose courage and commitment to freedom and democracy left mark on our nation’s history.

Today, we remember not only the sacrifice he made, but also the courage to stand for what is right, to speak for others, and to serve the Filipino people.

May his legacy continue to inspire us, as students and future leaders, to uphold courage, integrity, and responsibility in building a better and more democratic society.
