The Cadet Officer Qualifying Course (COQC) Class 1–2025, known as “ALAB-BAGSIK,” was formally concluded in a dignified closing ceremony held on December 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at the BiPSU Sports Complex (Volleyball Court), BiPSU Naval Campus. The activity was conducted by the Department of Military Science and Tactics (DMST) of Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) Army ROTC Unit, spearheaded by the 806th Community Defense Center (CDC), 8th Regional Community Defense Group (RCDG), RESCOM, Philippine Army.

The ceremony marked the successful completion of the intensive training program undertaken by the candidate cadet officers, showcasing their perseverance, discipline, and readiness to take on leadership roles within the Corps of Cadets.

The event was honored by the presence of the Guest of Honor and Speaker, P/CPT TEOFILO H. GERVACIO III, Chief of Police of Caibiran, Biliran, who delivered an inspiring message highlighting the importance of leadership, patriotism, and service to the community and the nation.

Also in attendance were LTC ALDRIN M. ROSARIO (INF) PA, Director, 806 CDC; MAJ ALTON V. DURANO PA (RES), BiPSU–Main Army ROTC Commandant; Mr. Perly L. Cortes, Over-all Coordinator of BiPSU NSTP-BC; enlisted personnel of the 806 CDC; the Army ROTC training staff and GMA; together with the proud parents and relatives of the graduating advance officers of “ALAB-BAGSIK.”

The successful conduct of the COQC Class 1–2025 Closing Ceremony reflects the strong partnership between the Philippine Army, the university administration, and the ROTC training staff, reaffirming their shared commitment to molding disciplined, competent, and service-driven future leaders in the spirit of patriotism and excellence.

NSTP-BC “BAYANIHAN” Clean-Up Drive
Biliran Province State University – Biliran Campus
September 27, 2025 (Saturday).

In the spirit of unity and volunteerism, NSTP trainees of Biliran Province State University – Biliran Campus conducted a “BAYANIHAN” Clean-Up Drive on September 27, 2025, in response to the aftermath of Typhoon Opong.

The activity aimed to help restore cleanliness and order in affected areas within and around the campus, showcasing the trainees’ commitment to community service and disaster response. Through collective effort and cooperation, the NSTP trainees demonstrated true bayanihan spirit in aiding recovery efforts.

This initiative is part of NSTP’s mission to instill civic consciousness and active community involvement among the youth.

National Service Training Program (NSTP) Lecture on National Security

As part of its continuing commitment to nation-building and civic consciousness, the National Service Training Program (NSTP) of Biliran Province State University – Biliran Campus successfully conducted a lecture on National Security and Current National Security Updates last October 4, 2025, from 7:30 AM to 12:00 NN, held at the Social Hall, Lower Campus.

The event aimed to deepen the understanding of NSTP students regarding the vital role of national security in the country’s stability and development, as well as to provide timely updates on current national security concerns and efforts.

We are deeply honored and grateful for the presence and support of the 806th Community Defense Center, 8RCDG, Army Reserved Command, Naval, Biliran, whose active involvement greatly contributed to the success of the event.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to our esteemed Resource Speaker from the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Regional Office, Tacloban City, for generously sharing their expertise and insights. Their comprehensive presentation enlightened the students on the evolving landscape of national security and the crucial role of youth in safeguarding the nation’s welfare.

This activity forms part of BiPSU-BC’s continuous effort to mold well-informed, socially aware, and responsible citizens ready to serve the nation.
