“Your story of success does not end with a single dream. Every achievement simply opens the door to another journey.”

The Adventist Ministry to Campus and University Students-Biliran Campus (AMiCUS-BC) celebrates with our current President, James Mark Dela Rosa, as he closes one meaningful chapter and steps toward another milestone.

More than a student, you became one of God’s faithful servants in BiPSU-Biliran Campus, carrying His light with every step and every act of service. The story of AMiCUS-BC would never be complete without your name woven into it.

Though your days as a university student may now come to an end, always remember that you will forever remain part of this family.

Continue walking in God’s light wherever life may lead you, and may this verse continue to guide your path:

“Whatever you do, do it heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
— Colossians 3:23

Congratulations, AMiCUS-BC President James Mark A. Dela Rosa!

When Abraham asked God what would He do to S***m and Gomorrah if there are still these numbers of people who are good — the number kept decreasing from 50 to 10, but — the Lord answered, “I won't destroy the city.” (Genesis 18:23-33)

Brethren, there are still thousands of people who also needs your prayer for salvation. For whom are you praying?

Sadly, the cities [S***m and Gomorrah] were filled with wickedness, and only Lot was found “good.” It did not even reach the “10 good people” which the Lord and Abraham had agreed upon. But God’s grace and Abraham’s plea saved Lot and his family. Genesis 19:29 says, “When God destroyed the cities of the valley where Lot lived, He remembered His promise to Abraham and saved Lot from the terrible destruction.”

Many people want to be [spiritually] mature or well-equipped, if not perfect; but only a few understand and are willing to endure the process. Among everyone around you, the Lord Himself wants what’s best for you. But you won't understand and appreciate the outcome if you don't undergo the journey of perfection.

SALVATION IN PRISON

"About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing praises to God, while the other prisoners listened. Suddenly,a strong earthquake shook the jail to its foundations. The doors opened, and the chains fell from all the prisoners."
~Acts 16:25-26

The walls and chains that held Paul and Silas represented the things or situations the enemy will throw to God’s people to keep them from preaching God’s true purpose. And many of His followers are imprisoned right now; beaten to weaken them spiritually, chained to keep them from doing His will, and isolated so no one could listen. So God gave us Paul and Silas’ story, to guide and prepare us for this moment.

Are you stuck in sorrow, distracted by happiness, or bound by something that weighs you down?

How wonderful the prisoners must have felt after witnessing God's power—that strong walls and heavy chains could actually be destroyed just through prayers and songs directed to the Savior—after being locked up, struggling for how many days, months, or years; they were set free.

You've been through a lot this whole week, you may not have realized it, but perhaps, you're also imprisoned in Satan's jail: distractions, problems and iniquities. And God is telling you a way to break free from everything—have faith and worship him.

That's why everyone who knows God and seeks the truth is blessed, because many are still struggling and lost but every Sabbath day, you are reminded and get to be freed from everything that's keeping you a prisoner of the world. Have faith and praise Him in your happy or dark moments; your prayers and songs are heard.

Acts 16:31 says, “They replied, ‘Have faith in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved! This is also true for everyone who lives in your home.’”

Happy Sabbath!

~Emmanuel

Every day is a battle between good and evil—following or defying God’s will. People struggle to do His will but still fail because Satan is at work. That’s why God gave us this verse found in James 4:7: “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Pause, pray, and submit yourself to Him; He will fight for you.

Let us have the heart of a child who is ecstatic on his first day of school as we attend the first sabbath of 2026.

Quoted from Mrs. White’s book Testimonies For The Churches, “The observance of the Sabbath is the sign between God and His people. Let us not be ashamed to bear the sign that distinguishes us from the world.” (7T 105.1)

As we rest on and sanctify God’s special day, let us keep in our minds and hearts this wonderful verse, a reminder found in Ezekiel 20:12; “Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them.”

Happy Holy Sabbath, brethren!🤍🙏

| A Story of How God Molded You This Year

“I used to be the girl who loved to hide behind the covers - a wallflower to be exact. I found comfort behind the walls that I thought ‘protected’ me from the influences of the world and thus, never left my comfort zone - not until 2025 arrived where God helped me see a version of myself I never thought I had.

Welcoming 2025 wasn't a walk in the park because there were tons of challenges I had to face which led me closer to Jesus. I remembered having a specific prayer request to God during the 10 days of prayer driven by the urge to travel all year round for His mission. It was just an innocent prayer - to have more church visitations with the AMiCUS-BC fam and in return, I'd accept every opportunity that comes my way - even if it's outside my comfort zone.

Basically, I had to live with that commitment so whenever opportunity knocks on the walls of my heart, I have no choice but to accept it and pray to God for guidance. During those moments, I noticed that every time I offer a prayer, God answers them in ways more than what I expected. God really hears our prayers and I'm more than blessed to have Him as my guide. I never thought that it would be the beginning of an unexpected journey of my spiritual awakening.

You know, I realized that when we let God lead, everything will fit perfectly into place. At first, I never truly understood why and how it all happened but now that the year is about to end, I'm just so grateful to God's faithfulness to His promises and for the blessings He had given me all year long - His divine providence, friendships, adventures, answered prayers, character building, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, and a lot more than I could count.

As the year comes to an end, I want you to be reminded that we don't have to understand God's plans, we just need to trust His heart every time we lose sight of His hand. Remember, we may not know what lies beyond or what the future holds but we know who holds the future. That fact alone is the best assurance we'll ever need to get through the day.

We never know what we can do unless we try. So, if you're too scared to cross that wall, I'm encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone, let God lead the way, and watch how He'll unfold His greatness towards your life slowly but surely.

‘You do not realize what I am doing right now but someday you will.’
- John 13:7”
