The 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 -𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 is conducting a Demand Survey to assess the interest and potential demand for the proposed 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 through 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (ODEL).

𝗔 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝘄𝗻, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵. 🌱

The College of Environmental Studies (CES) at Marinduque State University officially conducted its General Orientation Program, Punlaan 2026 for Academic Year 2026-2027, at the Marinduque State University Canopy on July 30.

The event warmly welcomed the freshmen. The program began with registration at 1:00 PM, followed by the preliminaries led by Ms. Juliepearl Brion and Ms. Marian Jane Sajul.

Dr. Evangeline B. Mandia, Dean of the College of Environmental Studies, accorded the opening remarks highlighting the importance of environmental science in various fields, including research and education.

Dr. Leodegario M. Jalos, Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs, delivered an inspirational message emphasizing that education grounded with values is the most important thing that students can possess.

Dr. Verna Liza Capiña, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, also delivered an inspirational message, reminding students of the importance of due diligence in learning and safety.

Dr. Diosdado Zulueta, University President, delivered an inspirational message, reminding the students that they are the start of new beginnings, the hope of the future, and the one who will fight for environmental protection.

Faculty members, guest lecturers, and alumni were then recognized. Thereafter, Program Head Mr. Jason Ben Paragamac introduced the new BSES curriculum.

Ms. Roja Medianista-Hetesi, Research Coordinator of CES discussed the thesis requirements. Afterwards, Ms. Juliepearl Brion led the discussion on the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program.

Mr. Ron Gerald Sandoval, Executive Vice President of EnSciSo, and Ms. Marian Jane Sagul, 4th year class Representative of EnSciSo, discussed the requirements for fieldworks. Later, parents signed consent forms together with the class advisers.

Ms. Donna Mae Oflas, Vice President for Finance, delivered the organization's financial statement . Thereafter, Mr. Argee Hirondo, EnSciSo President, discussed the calendar of activities.

The program concluded with the closing remarks delivered by Dr. Jason Ben Paragamac, Program Head.
