BOAC, Marinduque โ Under the overcast Monday morning sky on ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ญ๐ฎ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, the Marinduque State University (MarSU) community gathered at the front of the New Administration Building to officially kickstart the second week of the administrative year. Hosted by the ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ (๐๐๐ฆ), the ceremony served not only as a display of patriotism but as a venue to set the institutional vision for the year ahead.
The atmosphere was solemn and spirited as the ๐ฆ๐ถ๐ธ๐น๐ฎ๐ฏ ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ถ๐ฟ of the College of Education led the Opening Prayer, grounding the event in reflection. This was immediately followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, performed by the ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป - ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐๐๐, whose energetic rendition resonated across the campus grounds.
The spirit of nationalism continued with the recitation of pledges, a cornerstone of the weekly ritual. ๐ ๐. ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฐ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ด led the Panunumpa sa Katapatan sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, followed by ๐ ๐. ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ท๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ who led the Panunumpa sa Bagong Pilipinas, and ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐ก๐ฒ๐ถ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ป who guided the government workforce in the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan, reminding all public servants of their duties to the nation.
The ceremony was highlighted by the presence of the university's top leadership. ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ. ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐ฃ. ๐ญ๐๐น๐๐ฒ๐๐ฎ, University President, delivered the Welcome Remarks, greeting the faculty, staff, and students with words of encouragement for the coming year.
Following the presidentโs address, ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ฒ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ด๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ผ ๐ . ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ผ๐ ๐๐ฟ., Vice President for Academic Affairs, took to the podium to introduce the morningโs Guest of Honor.
The keynote addressโstyled as a special New Yearโs Messageโwas delivered by ๐๐ผ๐ป. ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐น๐ฑ๐ผ ๐ฃ. ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, Congressman of the Lone District of Marinduque. His message bridged the gap between legislative support and educational progress, setting a collaborative tone for MarSUโs 2026 initiatives.
As the host college, the CES was well-represented by its Dean, ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ, who delivered the Acknowledgement. She extended her gratitude to the guests and the university community for their participation, solidifying the college's role in fostering university unity.
The ceremony concluded with the singing of the MarSU Hymn, once again led by the Laboratory School DLC, followed by the recessional and the playing of the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn. ๐ ๐. ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ ๐ . ๐ก๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ served as the Master of Ceremonies, ensuring the program flowed smoothly from start to finish.
As the attendees went to their respective offices and classrooms, the message was clear: MarSU, led this week by the College of Environmental Studies, is ready to face 2026 with renewed energy and dedication to public service.
