| Noong Abril 30, 1937, may 447,725 na Filipina ang bumoto upang palawigin ang karapatan sa pagboto ng mga kababaihang Pilipino. Alinsunod sa Proklamasyon Blg. 2346 noong 1984, idineklara ang Abril 30 ng bawat taon bilang Araw ng Pagboto ng Babae upang gunitain ang makasaysayang kaganapang ito para sa mga kababaihan ng Pilipinas.

Sa paggunita natin ng ika-85 anibersaryo ng Women's Suffrage sa Pilipinas, at sa nalalapit na 2022 National Election, ang Philippine Commission on Women ay patuloy na hinihikayat ang bawat Juans at Juanas na maghalal ng mga pinunong kwalipikado, may kakayahan, at nagtataglay ng katangiang nagpapahalaga at gumagalang sa mga karapatan ng lahat ng tao, lalo na ng mga kababaihan.

PCW Chair will discuss the GAD Priorities in the New Normal State of Affairs Tackling the Five (5%) GAA Allotment for GAD Activities. The event is part of her two-day visit in Marinduque.

The age of sexual consent has been raised from 12 to 16! President Rodrigo Duterte signs into law Republic Act 11648 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act. This increases the age for determining the commission of statutory r**e and aims to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation.

As part of the Women's Priority Legislative Agenda, the PCW has actively lobbied for the raising of the age of sexual consent during the 17th and 18th Congress.
